I'm going to try this out later and see if this will do anything to reduce my random goods syndrome. As for people who still get random goods even without lag, it might be due to a slight amount of offsync that happens to affect just about every file (I'm still proposing an offset option).

Thanks for the find Phynx.

Thanks for the find Phynx.
The offset doesn't feel any different but it definitely reduces the amount of frame-skips/lag spikes within the game.

Offset option is something that really needs to be considered, haha.

The random goods could be any one of the following errors:

1. Offset problems
2. Keyboard communication error/lag to your computer.
3. Keyboard input communication error to the game.
4. Flash can lag in its own code.
5. Flash can outright hang on it's own code(for no reason it seems)
6. Errors with the game file SWF.
7. All out computer hardware failure.
8. Flash has many features that hinder performance causing frame skips.
9. You just really, REALLY suck.
10. You're YaBoy.

So it's hard to diagnose everyone's problem as to why they are getting random goods cause it could be any number of reasons.

Pretty sure bmah and I fall in the case of #1. The game is running perfectly fine. However, if I try hitting on sync with most songs, I graze in and out of the early good and early perfect windows. So, I force myself to hit late. It's by about the same amount on just about every song.

Windows 2000... dang, yeah I don't think these programs are meant to run on that relic of an OS. Highly recommend trying to get a newer system...

Well he did take notice in my now-dead thread about an offset option, but that seems to be about it. I actually really, REALLY do hope this gets implemented.

------------
Also, I said in that thread and elsewhere that the offset option should exclude old, historic FFR songs. However, I take this back. The offset option should apply to all songs.

Most old FFR songs that provide difficulty in timing is usually due to badly placed arrows, and have nothing to do with the offset (e.g. story of snowman and sunshine girl). The few files that do have really bad offset are ones that probably needed to be fixed anyhow (e.g. Frozen). So basically, offset shouldn't affect the difficulty of historic old files, and I'd like to see this option be implemented.

What's shocking to me about it not being in FFR already is... how... ungodly easy it is to implement. Lol, well maybe for FFR's engine it would be harder but I know for KBO and thirdstyle it was rather easy. So I don't see the holdup on it.

Offset, okay tomorrow then.
Also, I'm raping the changelog as AP says.

Quality button in my engine SHOULD work now. It's also in the settings if needed.
Use the one in Settings under visual, I broke the menu quality button hard.

is there a way to make it flash player v 9 for ffr only? i don't want to use the offline enginge but the lag is ridiculous on v 10 and if I put it on v9 then other site's functionality breaks

edit: game booster just makes the game even more laggy for me atm.

I have a feeling you're doing something wrong if gamebooster is increasing your lag. Gamebooster has like... 0% impact on your resources and shuts down many other useless processes... I'm at a loss.
