I knew there was gonna be a 12-13. I also knew a First Four team would make the round of 32.

I didn't think it would be La Salle putting boots to asses. 63-61 over K-State, goddamn.

Also, two of my Elite Eight are down.

Yeah--I am not doing very well on my bracket either... I honestly can't believe Wisconsin went down so early...or that Harvard would win.

I literally remember looking at FGCU and thinking "hmm maybe i mean they beat miami" and then thinking NAHHHHHHHHHH.
Same with Ole Miss, but I liked Wisconsin too much :/. I actually did pick La Salle in one of my brackets though :P

Wisconsin lived and died by their performance beyond the arc. If I had paid any attention at all during the year, I totally would not have picked them. (Hell, that night their HOCKEY team shot better than their basketball team, I learned on SportsCenter)

Ah well. Too much faith in the team from 5 years ago that literally could not shoot themselves in the foot.

As an IU fan, I know how tough of a team Wisconsin is. I had them making it to the sweet 16 and then losing to Ohio State. Apparently there are no more accurate brackets that are 100% accurate (according to SportsCenter).

Now that the second round is in the books, here are the scores.

Much to my chagrin, Dark Chrysalis is leading our modest-sized pack with 25 correct picks out of the 36 games played so far, but DayMan and I are baying at his heels with 24 each. Eastside is reppin' with 22, early adopter Jolteon with 20 is staying just ahead of Funmonkey trailing behind with 19, and former DotY DotKritic was too busy posting news articles to know that there was a tournament going on, but still managed a score of 18 correct picks.

Again, in a more readable form:

Code:
Dark_Chrysalis - 25
igotrhythm - 24
DayMan951 - 24
eastsideman09 - 22
U.N. Owen - 22
A s h e r - 20
megamon88 - 20
funmonkey54 - 19
DotKritic - 18
If you have a bracket in this thread that isn't linked in the second post, let me know and I will update that post with your link, and this post with your score. I am kinda putting 100K of my own credits on the line here.

Random Factoid: The two bottom-dwellers both managed to nail all of their First Four picks.

Good luck to all of you in the next round, but better luck to me.

Edit: UPSET ALERT. Unowen, despite not picking First Four (and thus receiving zero points for the first round) still scores 22/32 in the second round! Also, Butler lost, making me very upset indeed. Megamon also coming in with a solid performance.

Well, let's see, we have three 5-12 upsets, a 4-13, a 3-14, two 1-16 games that came down to single digits, another 3-14 that was barely averted, a First Four team in the third round, and a 2-15 for the seventh time ever and the second year in a row.

And we still have 31 more games to watch anxiously. (fun facts, the last perfect bracket on CBS fell when Indiana won and over half of all brackets had Pitt advancing)

Posted my bracket in this post. It's part of a league on yahoo, so I think that counts as proof that I filled it out prior to the tourney started. Was at 22 correct picks when you did your update (didn't pick for any of the First Four games).

On another note: thank you, Oregon. I suppose that gamble paid off.

Ultimega: Since you didn't pick First Four, I'm going to treat you as having 0/4 for that round. Still, 22/32 for the second round is a really solid performance.

Same boat as U.N. Owen, I have a yahoo bracket so it should be enough proof to show that I picked before the required date. Here it is:

Or if you want the actual yahoo page: http://tournament.fantasysports.yahoo.com/t1/1046848

You have successfully asserted yourself into this pool! (I like how Yahoo keeps track of correct picks for you, though the point system seems like a good way for people who got fucked to get back into it, so maybe I'll do this next year)

My West already imploded when I went 2/8 in the second round. What really hurt me was when Marquette out-scrapped Butler. Cost me a title game pick there.
