Youtube Generation Blues: Random Access Memories Review

Can you even believe it? Seems only three permanent days before when I was imposed upon my field-top by a duo of robot-clad, beat-weaving strangers. Only two men in the entire Antares-damning cosmos could drop me a differential of Chicago-housed toddlers in the sprawl just like how they captured my front eardrums. It was that toxic beat, "... Robot.... Rock" (sic) that invaded me, and sold me. I was lounging down, Sturdivant Lake Memorial Park in Syracuse, TQ. during the silvering summer of 2001, sittin' all fleshy and worldy. Then they slapped, and I smelt. As they used to mention during my days, those electric darlings readily know their "slapback rhythm dials!" It turned on, and those telltale zaps and drops and kicks and bounces slapped back. Whoah-Oh!

Fast-forward to 2013: back in our gentrified, mixed-use Princetown condo, my Occulus Rift-wearing teenage son refilled his e-cigarettes through the iOS App he bought with bitcoins through the Samsung Cloud service. He Skype-called me in our organic, indoor garden: "Dad, look under the My Little League of Legends: Awakening is Magic activation key; Daft Punk is making a Zelda chiptune mashup tribute album with Kendrick Lamar. Look it up on Apple Maps."

Man, all I can say is I got a huge dick-a-p-p-o-i-n-t-m-e-n-T! I cried through ten years of Discovery and
Thanks for 13 Breakbot B-sides! I'll be back, DVNO, me & my friend ordered the box set.

Final verdict:
It whiffs and chops. It brushes my Belgian suspenders, who unmistake me for my fuc cking high castle. I tell you! Only a guy like Tim Galliano could ever demean me for my l'audio de blasphemie!
8.5/10

read pitchfork's review on discovery. they gave it like 41%

saying it was too repetitive and monotonous

funny how people now worship that album for that very style

I was wrong, spit was right, this album ain't so bad after all. It really wasn't what I was hoping for to begin with but now it's really grown on me. Picking up the CD helps - sounds gorgeous turned up on the stereo even if the songs aren't always interesting. The first half of the album, which I thought was complete crap on first listen, has all clicked into place now. The two long ones which I thought were jokes are now my favourites. Plus the two early ballads totally work for me now. Gets a little weaker towards the end and it's a bit too sedate in places but overall it's jumped from a 2/10 to about a 7 or 8.
