Re: Submissions Reopened For FMO/FGO Simfiles ONLY
Yeah the ave-miss fix broke the restriction for pitch relevancy, so expect better files.

Re: Submissions Reopened For FMO/FGO Simfiles ONLY
We decided to allow hands only for the hard file batch.
But make sure that you can put them only where they should be. Abuse/overuse of hands will be easily the reason for rejection, we won't allow anything like "handstreams" of course. |

Re: Submissions Reopened For FMO/FGO Simfiles ONLY
I have an idea!!
Instead of having just random hand files, have hand versions. Example: One Minute Waltz and... One Minute Waltz [Hands]

Re: Submissions Reopened For FMO/FGO Simfiles ONLY
xxxxx So if that's when they're due... Is that when you're going to begin testing them? Is there going to be time for revising files if they do not make it the first time the files are judged for the event?
xxxxx ... And how many files have you been receiving for this, anyway? Because one idea that could be interesting... If there's not many files, it shouldn't be hard to test a small batch every few days. If you gave a list of, say, what the judges believe to be the twenty best files received that's updated whenever you test batches (along with the rejected notes and everything)... Well, it would probably spark competition for those top spots. Even if on the list, artists may try making their files better so they the file is higher up on the list so there's a smaller chance of it going off the list. This might produce better files if artists are constantly trying to make them better. xxxxx And you said that the event will consist of fourteen FMOs or FGOs... But I said twenty earlier to address another problem: how the players, not just the judges, rate files. If you had the top twenty released to the subscribers , they could test files and say which fourteen they believe should be in the event. The players might not agree with the judges on which are better. So those fourteen could be released through the event, and it would give the artists of the other six files time to revise. The files could be revised (to make them even better than before) or left alone, and they would be released through normal batch. Uhm, yeah, just something I thought up earlier today... P.S. Hands? That sounds like it could be fun. I've always thought hands could do Monstrous Turtles! lots of good... At a FMO V2 of that could be interesting. And very hard. |

Re: Submissions Reopened For FMO/FGO Simfiles ONLY
Tass didn't like hands for FFR, but he accepted them only for this.
I know you and me are already positive for hands, so yeah. To everyone: Of course you don't have to use hands for this batch. We won't give a negative judgement because you don't use hands. Last edited by jimerax; 01-31-2008 at 07:28 PM.. |

Re: Submissions Reopened For FMO/FGO Simfiles ONLY
"Hands" are three notes at the same time. When you play on a pad, you only have two feet, so you'd have to hit the third note with your hand, hence the name. Three-note jumps and normal jumps during freeze arrows are hands.

Hands would be so fun to play. Is this expected to happen any time soon?

Re: Submissions Reopened For FMO/FGO Simfiles ONLY
Quads are hands too. I'll accept quads
Silvuh: We'll be taking sims until the end of February, and we'll judge them in the first week of March and probably post some batch notes later that week. And if your sim gets rejected for some small thing, sorry. Submissions closed. Its a one shot thing because this is a special submission project Submissions for everything might be open in May. |

Re: Submissions Reopened For FMO/FGO Simfiles ONLY
would you except a file with 400 BPM 12th stream? I made one, it's completely synced, but it's harder than OMW, but not vrofl

Re: Submissions Reopened For FMO/FGO Simfiles ONLY
Hands, if I even use them, my file would have less than 20, possibly less than 10. I finished stepping it, I just gotta go revise the stuff and make sure everythings just peachy.
I'll see if any hands are necessary, because I'm not adding random stupid stuff for no reason rofl. edit: lol 1337 post. Last edited by [TeRa]; 02-1-2008 at 11:07 AM.. |
