Re: The Great PA Tournament Of FFR - Round 1
I know lets 'give him the benefit of the doubt', right?
Well, I'm not so sure about it because this is the second time he decided to run a major tourney and then proceed to do a poor job managing it. This one was supposed to be full of updates and was supposed to run smoothly. The fact that I have never ran a tournament has nothing to do with Phynx's work. I'll tell you what, zoo, if I ever run a tournament, Phynx has taught me how to not do it. Because as an observer from both of his tournaments, he does not do a good job. I understand maybe something came up in his life, but like I said already, he was in this thread last night when the round had ended, didn't update it, didn't start the new round, and hasn't even made an appearance today. Would you like to defend him? Because I'd like to hear your opinions too. |

I think a better idea is for me to bring cookies for everyone but Phynx...and we can eat them in from of him until he updates!

No seriously, the only reason why I didn't hold a tourney back then was because when this came out in February. I didn't expect it to fail like this. ;-; Why Phynx? >8'(

Re: The Great PA Tournament Of FFR - Round 1
Nice posts about cookies and torches.
Really, I knew this was coming. Especially in the beginning how he waited 2 months before updating the sign ups. But instead, he got EnR into separating us into devisions. And now he cant find the energy to click his mouse and make round 2. I used to think EnR was the biggest procrastinator on FFR. This changes my opinion. Also, if I was hosting a huge tournament like this one, Id be on it all day long, checking everything to make sure its going smoothly. I would make sure i pre-edited to round 2 beforehand, and click the update button on the first post as soon as the time ended, then post that all submissions from round 1 after this post are not acceptable. Then after someone won, i would hand out the credits immediately instead of waiting 5 days *cough* EnR *cough*. Responsibility is a great virtue. |

Re: The Great PA Tournament Of FFR - Round 1
You know, the belated updates wouldn't piss me off so much if Phynx would actually give a simple, 2-sentence explanation as to why it isn't being updated. That would take 30 seconds...and even that isn't being done. >_>

Get someone else to host it STAT. Tass, someone? Change the host please.

Re: The Great PA Tournament Of FFR - Round 1
I would gladly like to, because I'm responsible, and i can get things done right at the spot.
But since im not experienced with tournaments, and i dont have the right authority, then i suggest Sprite-, or Tass (idk about tass, hes busy at it is), or maybe EnR, hes good with tournaments. Edit: also, right now we're entering the second day of the second round, but were still at waiting to start the second round. Valuable time is being wasted. |

What I really don't understand is that updating is as simple as taking out the names of people who didn't make it and putting up a new song. Sure it takes a little time to figure out who to take out and what songs to pick... but since I literally have nothing better to do tonight, I might as well sort out the first issue. |
