Default Anyone knows Mass Effect 2 on console damn well?

Basically I have absolutely no interest in just discovering it myself and stuff, not when there is a whopping total of 17 missable trophies and I really don't want to have twice the grind on a RPG game, one is fair enough and the only reasons I even put this game in my PS3 are the following: friends told me it was worth it and platinum, the latter being the only reason I play PS3 games lulz.

So yeah. Anything I found on the internet was very unclear. Now I assume that despite difficulty warnings (screw that let's go hardcore) I'm just gonna start on max difficulty, but they also mention DLC stuff and a comic book thing. What is that all about?

So here's my question... What should I be doing in the first place in order to get the plat in a single playthrough with minimal playing time?

BTW: I got the game used, so I have to buy the DLC separately. I don't mind that, but I'd rather spare what's unnecessary.

I'm asking on here instead of gamefaqs/ps3trophies/other stuff because you guys are awesome and I'm familiar with y'all! =)

Also sorry for my attitude toward what you probably consider to be a great game! I don't think that it's bad myself, I just don't like to set myself like that with games that I'm unfamiliar with, even though I could start enjoying it midway through.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure what the ps3 trophies are but I had all the 360 achievements, and I can't see them being very different. Make sure you get all of your squadmates loyal by doing their loyalty missions. Get every ship upgrade as well. Also, for when you get to the end, to make sure everyone survives:

Tali - in vents
Garrus - leading first secondary squad
Samara - Biotic barrier specialist
Mordin - chose option to escort crew back
Miranda - leading second secondary squad

Just PM me other questions you have because I know you'll have more

I've spent so much time in the Mass Effect universe, it's such a great series.
BIG ASS PICTURE - Edit: Too big for page. Save image for best results, extremely helpful chart.

Protips
buy every upgrade. Normandy NEEDS upgraded shields, cannon and armor.

Do EVERYONES loyalty mission.

Sometimes you'll have crew interactions and are more or less forced to take a side, gaining or losing loyalty points with one of the members. The best way to ensure that everyone stays loyal and you get the No One Left Behind achievement is to be completely Renegade or Paragon from the beginning.

I remember playing thru on Hardcore and being mostly renegade. There's a part where Legion and Tali get into an argument and I couldn't talk them down. I had to side with one of them because my alignment wasn't high enough. Fucking pissed, had to literally restart the game.

OH YEA. Funny story - you can go thru the game without even activating Legion. I sent his geth ass out into space on my very first playthrough and didn't even know he could be a squad member. When asked if you want to activate him for the love of god do it. Legion is also a pretty cool robobro. Got an awesome level in ME3.

GLHF feel free to ask about anything else and remember....Don't fuck with Aria (:

PS - the dlc is actually really good for this game. Usually I pass on dlc because it's a bunch of bullshit for extra bucks, but Overlord and Stolen Memories were fantastic. Overlord gave me chills when you see who the "bad guy" really is, and Stolen Memories felt more like an extended stealth mission if anything. Katsumi is a badass person to have on your team - she pretty much has a phasewalk that let's her go invis and oneshot people. It's ridiculous.

Lol thanks =)

I've decided to attack on insanity on the first playthrough, using a sniper (or whatever the name is in English I dunno). So far I've unlocked all the crew members... Archangel being the hardest because I started the last zone already in the red so it required a bit of luck to run upstairs without dying but it was alright.

I like How you can be an asshole and safe spot everything and everyone at the right angle xD

Or I stay hidden and position kasumi in a safe spot, and spam the shadow strike. Lulz

Exclamation Re: Anyone knows Mass Effect 2 on console damn well?

Bump, insanity playthrough is over, only things left for plat are punching + shotgun some ennemies, and reaching level 30 (lvl 25 at the moment)

A lot of the tips you gave were awesome! Especially that map, even though the vent section was a bit misleading...

As far as the game experience, I really misjudged the game. I've been told it was a straight out rpg, which I usually hate, but aside for all the quests and dating sim stuff, RPG elements were weak, so it was alright. I still kept the platinum hunter mindset all the way through and skipped a lot of conversations I knew I could ignore, but otherwise it's a good game that doesn't get TOO redundant, so if anyone reading this wants to try it out, go ahead, it's not too demanding of a plat/full achievement title!

Personnal tip: Fuck morality points, you can farm them really quickly with an exploit in the beginning. There is also another thing you can do later but only with paragon, when you do Samara's loyalty, chose to save her, and then talk to her, chose the upper left option, she talks, then asks you if you want to leave, say no, you get points, repeat 'til you filled the bar rofl.

Also like dark lord sarumon said, KASUMI. You want that character pretty badly, especially on the highest setting.

I'll post my plat once I have it, like tomorrow. Thanks again to both of you! =)
