Re: My Paint Art
Scopers art > Bynarys...
Just for the fact that she uses texture. Its more realistic. And just by personal preference, I like realistic pictures. If you look down at the carpet...its not one solid shade of <Insert carpet color here> It has texture, it has different colors, it has stains. Details are important to me. But oh well, I'm no painter. |

Re: My Paint Art
Yeah, only after I added all the lines for the stone did I find out I put the star the wrong direction. On the rug, the only reason it looks stained is because of the jpeg file. It messed with the colors. The texture is just a bunch of light red pixels. My total work time was somewhere around 10 hours to finish it all. Decent enough. But now since I still feel like adding textures, I'm going to be working still.

Re: My Paint Art
Overall it's pretty good. Good job with the lighting on it. The antenna or ears of the alien dude seems a bit too thick in my opinion, and it looks like there is a weird bump on the alien's arms. You might have meant for it to look like that, but it seems weird to me.
That's the main reason why I never use paint. The best compression formats for paint are jpeg and bitmap, unless if it's very simple with the colors then gif might have near 0 loss in quality, but the png file format keeps everything as it should, and unfortunately paint doesn't support that file type.

Re: My Paint Art
Yeah. I suppose it works decently enough to get the point across. People viewing the picture should just keep in mind that it isn't as blurry in the real picture.

Re: My Paint Art
Alright, I've added a fifth picture, "Starscape: Beyond Galaxies. It's my first attempt at an outer-space panorama. And stupid jpeg did lower the quality a lot, so it may look kind of sloppy.

Re: My Paint Art
Only posting my pic cuz you guys all have your fancy art lol. I drew the face in about 20 seconds. But that was in photoshop. Added color in paint about a month later when I realized I liked it, so it's a bit rough but w/e. I think i spent 2 minutes max on it.
edit: I'm gonna slap the ****er that points out my pic has no light reference in it.

Re: My Paint Art
Making pictures seem realistic in paint takes skill, making pictures that look like they were made in paint takes no skill.
Fail. Your perspective is off, don't look at this as MSPaint art, look at it as art, THEN tell me if it's good. |

But yeah pixel art can suck my nuts. I can't be bothered to go pixel by pixel to make stuff look like there is light and shading.

Re: My Paint Art
I love Bynary's abillity to combine the color for the sky fading. I tried it with the sun, also in the star on my picture, but when it comes to making an entire sky, I can't blend the colors. :[

Re: My Paint Art
Chemical, stfu. You're overbearing with your "criticism".
Everybody draws differently, and everyone has different styles. I'm pretty sure Van Gogh wouldn't appreciate Picasso, but they were both artists. Anyways. I really dig this stuff, especially the offworld pictures. |

Re: My Paint Art
Ok, I added a 6th picture, "Earth's Horizon". That one is special, as it was my first attempt at creating a gradient in paint.
P.S I know there's an error in the picture (The moon would not appear like a crescent at that altitude, but oh well, I like it that way ). ~Bynary Fission
