Interested to see what FFR would come up with!

Well recently I've gotten into recoloring Sonic sprites to see what the final outcome would be like and I would like to see what FFR would come up with for me to make! http://www.freewebs.com/spritezone/index.htm is where I get most of the sprites that I've been using.
Some examples:

EDIT: Messed up on this one and used too bright of a yellow as an outline so it doesn't look too good.

You may want to rethink that xD
Why not try and recolor a full size image of sonic instead?

Well right now I'm working on a full sized Rouge that my friend requested. Dunno when it would be done though

There was a thread in the past in which people requested the original threadmaker to make remixed Pokemon sprites in exchange for some credits. It was pretty popular, mind you.

Colouring sprites is fun, because you get to use pixel art. Which is kind of dead, but really fun.

Which is why it is much more practical to move onto bigger and better things.
Hence why dean's "Tails" looks much better than any pixel art.
Why spend so much time on something that in the end, still looks like crap? Speaking relatively of course, I'm not trying to bash on your art, I'm just saying it might be time to move on, pixels are a thing of the past, go vector.

Things drawn in Illustrator CAN BE COLORED WHENEVER, HOWEVER YOU WANT.
Things drawn in Illustrator CAN BE RESIZED TO FIT AFRICA AND NOT LOSE QUALITY.

THINK ABOUT IT.

1.) DRAW ON AFRICA
2.) ?????
3.) PROFIT

Pixel art isn't about looking better. It is a different style of art.....

why use paint brushes on a small canvas. Can't recolor it, can't change the size and the quality might not be that good.
