No, he said earlier that you can only get vROFL when he says it's "on the table." (i.e. official gamewhore competitions, etc.)

It would've been harsh if he got nothing for staying up 24/7.

Re: Gamewhore Competition Thread
god....
thats like the worse song choice one can make.. 17 hours of that extreme rapid movement.. i dont see how its possible without your hands failing after an hour tops every time you get your hands off the keyboard i feel sorry we dont have a try again keymap option btw you played vrofl? where did you get it i thought only tournament winners have it |

Re: Gamewhore Competition Thread
A challenge, then like 20 hours of pressing try again, now 4 of us have it from getting over a billion points.

Re: Gamewhore Competition Thread
I used AHK and remapped a mouse click to the try again button when I did it last year.

Re: Gamewhore Competition Thread
You could have (see further below)! =O
Under the assumption that participants have ample time, I would say that this competition was heavily biased toward any player with vrofl (and a hands-compatible keyboard, of course). In the case of such fortunate players, the most effective strategy is obviously as follows: 1. Map four consecutive keys (e.g. m , . /) 2. Get autohotkey and map a key (e.g. spacebar) to left mouseclick 3. Play vrofl and keep the cursor stationed in the try again button area 4. Use four fingers to quadmash in sync with the beat of the song 5. When the quads are over, hold down the keys to boo out 6. Press your left mouseclick mapkey to replay the song 7. etc. (and watch TV or something) *You can also do it spread-style, but it might drain stamina more quickly If you want to cheat (though I don't personally advocate doing so), you can map the arrow outputs to one key. With the proper knowledge, you could also go a step further by writing up a timed script by calibrating command gaps (such as songstartoutput->multikeytapoutput). Then again, at that point you would have already strayed well beyond the line between legitimacy and offhanded tactics. It would be pretty clear that you cheated, and Tass would proceed to strike you down. That is, unless you moderated your script duration and/or added some parameters allowing for nonuniformity of output (blah, blah, etc.). Anyways, I suppose Izzy is the one exception because of the absurd amount of games he played in order to compensate for the lack of vrofl. Congrats (?_?) on becoming Lump the Second. EDIT: lmao I'm pretty sure I overanalyzed this stuff but w/e Last edited by lightshark; 05-26-2008 at 08:15 AM.. |

Re: Gamewhore Competition Thread
I would've took two keyboard, and quad mashed 'em both in the pattern with the palm of my hand, so it'd take little energy...
