I'm really glad that you can change the voice and keep english text though, japanese voice acting is way better once I beat the game I am goin to step the fuck out of this soundtrack Last edited by choof; 03-19-2014 at 07:33 PM.. |

Re: Bravely Default
It is a fantastic game, but if you don't have a 3DS then it is understandable.

Re: Bravely Default
I picked up a copy based on what I'd been hearing. The OST is amazing so far, the game play definitely is not what I was expecting. They added a lot of small things like a fast forward through combat that makes grinding less dull. Even an RPG disliking noob like me is enjoying it.
The one thing that bothers me is the in game character art vs the background. (The cinematic art is totally fine.) They clash pretty hard. I mean on their own they're extremely appealing but it just bothers me a little. It isn't enough to distract. The hand drawn backgrounds are just gorgeous. Just yeah looks like it'll be a good game. Granted I'm not very far yet. |

Re: Bravely Default
okay so
I'm in chapter three, just got the ninja job. Story is slightly predictable, but yeah, loving this. Hard is absolutely infuriating. also picked up the demo, played through that, restarted with 20 villagers LOL, broken |

Re: Bravely Default
beat this
really enjoyed the story for the most part, one thing I didn't like was the last four chapters (although doing the subquests in each chapter made them a bit better), and grinding to max job levels took a couple days. story also got slightly bland in the second half but, but the subquests also made this better. really good game, except for the grinding. even then, 200% encounter rate, 400% battle speed, and alarm bracelets make grinding way less tedious. at one point I was playing with my left hand and browsing wikipedia with my right rofl. would definitely recommend this to anyone that enjoys old school jrpgs and doesn't mind a bit of grinding. started a new game+, gonna try all hard mode with all vampires rofl. also english voice acting. |

Re: Bravely Default
On chapter 6, lv 70, have 3 of the crystals. Game has been bloody fantastic but I'm not sure chapter 6 was necessary or whatever comes after this. It was extremely obvious as to what was going on at the end of chapter 4 once you beat Alternis...I think the Alternis reveal as it stands was excellent and for players that aren't retarded I think you could put the pieces together. Wish they had wrapped it up in chapter 5 with some more "holy shit" reveals rather than stringing us along and spoon feeding you the story in tiny bites.
Gonna go do the last crystal and just bust it because if there is more after this it'll be like beating a dead horse at this point - it's super obvious and has been for awhile who the evil one is >_> (If you think about it, it was pretty obvious from the end of ch. 4 on wards, though they did an extremely good job concealing it).
