If i remember correctly, the batch is closed until the Christmas event is done. I might be wrong though.

Submission will be open after these things.

- FFRMas event
- confirm accepted files from previous batch
- set submission cap (also I'm thinking of new point system for simfile artists)
- set approximate judgement rules (this isn't urgent compared to others)

What's funny is how Rubix already did that and he considered it a "special" file worth trying out - this won't be any different.

That is, "The Legend of Art" file with a video playing in the BG and I could read the arrows perfectly fine but it was just pointless and stupid. But whatever, if you guys want to add a BG, go for it.

The question is what makes the song so special to have a background video in the first place. The Legend of Art had a video that didn't interfere with the arrows at all and matched the song, but was still pointless.

From what I've seen, most if not all IOSYS songs have videos to them, Cucumber flavored beer is just one example. What makes this song so much more unique to have one?

It isn't about reading the file in this case, it's just why it's being put in there in the first place. It's inconsistent and unnecessary when most of the files don't have BGs - you might as well give a BG to every file.

Just a final note - yes, it isn't that big of a deal really, but what doesn't make sense is how a certain song would suddenly get a video out of all the other songs that could get them.

iirc, this has been planned to be done well before FFR died last year.

All in all, stop complaining about the file, you dont like it dont play it. Dont sit here and complain for those who would for some reason enjoy this. The only way this song wouldnt be fun is for all the rank whores and people who just straight up suck at reading files with BG's, play the song just to play it.
