Default Native Language on SM

Hi, I was wondering:

Is there a way to get a particular song's name in its native language?
And if there is a way, how?

For example: Mei
How do I make the japanese character 冥 show up on my StepMania?
I cannot just merely copy and paste it.

Thanks for your time.

To few the native language in StepMania 3.9..
You can go to Options -> Appearance -> Native Language

or

Just simply pressing F9 during select music/songwheel.

when press that you see song changes from romaji to kanji/hiragana/katakana letter
if ther simfile has it.

If you talking about add it on the .sm

Just simply open the .sm to notepad...

copy the kanji/hiragana/katakana letters into this format that located in the .sm:

#TITLE:Insert Kanji Characters;
or
#SUBTITLE:Insert Kanji Characters;
or
#ARTIST:Insert Kanji Characters;

and add the romaji letters to these area to translate them:

#TITLETRANSLIT:Insert Romaji Letter;
or
#SUBTITLETRANSLIT:Insert Romaji Letter;
or
#ARTISTTRANSLIT:Insert Romaji Letter;

then you go Flie -> Save As...

when you save it... Click the down list on ANSI and select UTF-8 then Save button.

Its may work for some themes... but most likely work on:
Default Theme
PopCandy Themes
CyberStyle Themes

some others that I dunno...

I understand the first part of your post, but the problem is I don't know how to save it as UTF-8.
