I'm going to a convention in exactly 1 month with a group of 4 people and we are going as the 4 devas. Our Nonon is a crossplayer LOL. I'm the Houka.

Pics when it happens

This anime has been so painful to watch holy shit, it's not horrible, but it's just not captivating at all regardless of how aesthetically pleasing some of the animation is sometimes.

Visually, it is pretty damn neat. Other than that, the only thing I've really enjoyed is matoi's friend and

It just got to the part where ragyou just confessed matoi is her daughter and i was just whatever about it. It's taken me 3 months to get to episode 19 lol and I'm only watching it because of recommendations I've gotten. The goofiness and cuteness are enjoyable, but not enough to watch more than 2 episodes in a row. Idk. So far 5.5/10 for me tbh

finally someone who isn't saying "omg this is so good"
I thought I was alone.

it's probably intended for pure enjoyment so if it doesn't rub you the right way you might not like it at all. I know I didn't (minus a few parts). 6/10 was my final rating.

It's a very unique anime in an FLCL kind of way, but it's just not satisfying when matoi wins any fight because of it's goofy make my way inevitably to the top of the ladder style. In other animes when a difficult fight is won by the protagonist it's just so much more satisfying where I just have this "fuck yeah" mentality that I get absolutely none of from this and while I get that that's not necessarily what this anime is all about, it's a valid complaint because the fights ARE epic, but it's expectedly epic to the point where you're just waiting til the next one and next one so I can just get this anime over with sort of way. Fighting all those clubs was grueling to watch and it was pretty damn obvious from the beginning that satsuki had no intentions of going along with her mother which sort of made what was supposed to be the climax, that much more anti-climactic.

Nudisto-beach however, will always be funny to me

Is this worth watching subbed?

I had to struggle through watching Attack on Titan in subs, but still enjoyed the show very much. Then again, it was basically called Japan's version of The Walking Dead, which helped out a lot and made me excited for next season

I really don't like subs, but it's on netflix and in*could* check it out.

Nudist Beach gets pretty shafted and a lot of the comic relief bits were really weak near the end (maybe to preserve the atmosphere). The ending was also pretty lame especially if you've watched any other Trigger works. I dunno, getting super OP just didn't seem entertaining to me because she was already like that the whole time. The plot didn't seem coherent, nor did it actually really have a direction. I'm pretty sure I read that they didn't have a real plan and were riding by the seat of their pants, and if this is true I could probably forgive them for that because it means they didn't actually put any effort into making a real story.

Anyway if this show was supposed to be pure enjoyment based I really couldn't get into it.

@Snowcrafta people seem to like the dub that is coming out. So good news for you I guess.

started watching this show a week back, now i'm on like episode 16 or something. i could easily write a thesis comparing this to gurren lagann. it starts off slow and rapidly builds up to obscene levels of awesome, then keeps going every time you think 'ok it's time to lose some steam and slow down' fuck that, that's not how this show rolls

and that fucking ragyo theme... holy shit

too bad i can never watch this show whenever there's a living soul within a hundred yards because there is no way to convince somebody you are not watching straight up porn if they see the tv

It's 2014, time to stop caring about this.
