Would this violate Simfile rules?
ok, i was thinking of doing a chemical brothers song or some other big
electronica artists. Like what would i have to do to get it on FFR, legally or without violating copy-right protection laws. Like do i have to cut it, or can i play the entire song in my simfile? |

You simply need the artist's permission to have the song in the game.
Then your file has to be submitted to the judges for it's quality.

You also can't post it in the simfile database, or send it to anybody besides a judge because then it'll be void.

If we don't have permission from the artist to use his/her songs in FFR we can't use any part of them. When it comes to breaking copyright it's better to be conservative.

If I remember, you can use up to 30 seconds of a song which is under copyright without it being judge illegal (without asking the author's permission) but hey who wants to listen to only 30 seconds of a song xD
