Need Photoshop Mastahs! (Credits?)

Yo. I recently got addicted to DJMax Technika, and the problem is that my ID card is pretty bland. I have a template that I'm hoping somebody could use to make me a kickass looking card, which I'll then send to a website that makes high quality vinyl stickers that I can place over my card and brag about it to all the people I play with. Here's what I would like done with it:

1) The "Platinum Blue" logo in the top left removed
2) I would like the background to include The Kid from Bastion with headphones on (check my profile for reference)
3) The bottom bar's colors changed to match the new background
4) Icing on the cake would be to include DJ Kibblre on the background somewhere

If anyone wants to do it for free, that'd be awesome. However since I know this is work and it takes time and should be appreciated, I would be willing to fork over some credits to. If you think you can do it, just tell me how many credits you would do it for and send me an image.

It's really nicely done, but a little complex for my taste. It really just needs to be the standard image without much done to it other than added text and recolored bottom. Omgfail's been working on one too and he's been chatting with me at the same time, so I'm going to see how his final turns out before I make you do anything else more. Is that k?

The only problem I have is that the font doesn't seem to "pop" for me; it seems somewhat flat and bland. Does anyone think they could make it look nicer? Here's the materials you would need in a .zip including the font that's on file now:

I decided to stop being lazy due to being picky towards Justin and omgfail (sorry for dat luvz <3) and tweak it by myself. Here's what I came up with and thought it looks pretty nice. Any feedback/things I can possibly do to improve it?

I removed the borders so it looks as much like a finished product as it could shy of rounded corners.

Not the greatest image to use for a high quality sticker!!! If I had some free time I could correct the image and restore it a bit. But alas I have no time.

It's degraded in quality since imgur converts it to jpg. It looks much nicer as the png I saved it as.

EDIT: Spenner, here's the png for the resized version since it'll be either the exact one I'll be sending to the site or it will be a little bit bigger. Tell me if the quality is nicer on it.

EDIT2: Tried touching it up a bit myself. Does this look nicer? Like I said, this print is going to be the size of a credit card so this should be good, right?

I hope the image is much larger than the one you provided, because it's not going to print that well. The resolution is also set way too high—Printing a 600 DPI image for something as small as a 3.5" x 2.25" sticker (I have a T2 and T3 card) is overkill and unnecessary, rofl. Also the fact that PNGs are not made for printing—use an eps, tiff, or psd (yes PSDs can print) and make sure the colour space is in CMYK colour (your image is still in RGB).

I have it saved as a psd as well. The main reason I have it as a png was to send it to someone who wanted to see it.

How would I lower the DPI and make sure the color space is CMYK? Keep in mind, I'm using Gimp.

Essentially, tell me exactly what I need to do to fix it. I'm a nub at picture editing.

EDIT: If it's not too much to ask, could you whip something up for me that resembles what I'm trying to make?

You can get away with printing a JPG/PNG for this kind of job for the most part, so you can ignore what I said about printing file formats. Same goes for the DPI I suppose.

Most importantly is making sure the colour space is CMYK and not RGB. In Photoshop you can change it under Image>Mode>CMYK. In GIMP when creating a new image/canvas you can choose the colour space as shown here:


I'm not familiar with GIMP unfortunately, so the best I can tell you is to copy your image and paste it into a new canvas that's in CMYK colour space. You could also set the resolution to 300 if you wish, but again you can get away with your current setting.

What resolution should the final outcome be that I send away for printing? Also, my only options are RGB and Grayscale.

EDIT: If I send you a psd, could you fix it like you described? There will be credits if you'd want them.

For most standard printing jobs:
300 DPI for coated paper.
266 DPI for uncoated paper.

In the case with stickers, it would classify as coated paper, meaning your resolution should be 300. You would never use a higher resolution unless you're printing strictly stock photography, in which case you'd have to use 400 DPI (this isn't as common in terms of print jobs though).

I guess send me the PSD and I can do a quick adjustment job if you can't figure it out or no one else can do it for you.
