Re: hand styles
I use the arrow-keys, and I put my middle-finger from my left hand on the left arrow-key, my index-finger from my left hand on the down arrow-key, and my index-finger from my right hand on the right arrow key. I usually use my middle-finger from my left hand for the up arrow-key, except when I'm doing jump-streams, I use my index-finger from my right hand for the up arrow-key more than my middle-finger from my left hand for the up arrow key. I hope I helped you a little ;D.

When I'm going for new songs/stats -
Left index finger = left arrow Right index finger = top/bottom arrow Right middle finger = right arrow When I'm bored/trying to impress people- One hand - Right index finger = left arrow Right middle finger = bottom/top arrow Right ring finger = right arrow When I'm mashing - Right index finger = left arrow Right middle finger = bottom arrow Right ring finger = left arrow Left index finger = top arrow |

Re: hand styles
I use arrow keys (4 fingers) the most. I occasionally swich to spread and index for certain songs. Knowing more than one style helps.

One hand, four fingers--thumb for down, index on left, etc.

Re: hand styles
I've tried every style (for mapping I used spread and WASD)
I made up one today where you use 4, 6, and 8 on the number pad using the index, middle, and ring digits on the right hand, and the right, down, and left arrows using the same fingers as the right hand (index, middle, ring). It works when you visit someones house and play ffr on a suckish keyboards that dont respond to streams of note hits. Wordy! |

Re: hand styles
wow. didn't know you can use the letter keys o.O I play arrow keys, alternating with my left index and my right [index, middle, ring]. Sometimes I play spread on arrow/ number keys. Whatever feels most comfy...

Re: hand styles
I play spread on DF JK because the home row indicators on F and J keep my hands from going to other keys.

Re: hand styles
I use zx./.
The only disadvantage to this setup is that I always have to pry up this one key that I strike by accident. |
