the only thing i don't like abut on-line play is the people who use action replay codes, in mario kart DS a guy used infinite blue shells

When you say "on purpose", you're saying the developers actually said "let's put in this glitchy way of travel to offset our existing means."

Now, if you said "let's code in a means by which to soften falls to enable a quick comeback" and "let's code in an aerial dodge that can go any direction" and put those two together, then you'd have an argument. You can't tell me the developers of the game invented / condone / use wavedashing. Especially without proof.

They intended to make you slide when you hit the ground. It's not like you just naturally slide when you air dash into the ground. Maybe they didn't intend it to be spammed, but maybe they did.

Hell, what if spamming Link's Up+B became the new thing? Did they INTEND to make it that powerful(FOR THE SAKE OF THIS EXAMPLE)? Probably not. But if it's that powerful, are people gonna spam it? Of course.

Really, if they didn't intend to do this, they would've made it so that you either don't slide when you hit the ground, or something works differently when you hit the ground, such as need a little recovery time like after using a heavy move such as Link's Down+A move.

If they intended to have it used this way is arguable, but they certainly didn't make it possible on accident.

If they still have the air dodge and the way to control it (like press down and air dodges down), it might. It doesn't really matter anyway if wavedashing was intended or not.

Oh yeah, they added more characters. Check the screens. They added Dr. Wright (got no idea), Metaknight, Koopa(????), and some guy from F-Zero. Metaknight's been added but he's not in the official site.

it is pretty neat is one of the best new features. now even if the character you wanted to see is not playable you still can see him in full 3D and helping you (or your enemy XD)

Unfortunately, this is completely false information. I read the same news post. It was later confirmed that this was a fake rumor that people were trying to prove to be true. Completely disregard this.

To everyone calling WD a glitch, answer this question. If they did not mean for WD to be in SSB64 and SSBM. Then why didn't they remove it from SSBM after the glitch was discovered in SSB64?

Because it was coded into the engine and removing it would require a complete overhaul?

Difficult~

HAY SO IF THE HITBOXES WERE SCREWED UP IN COUNTER STRIKE THEN WHY DIDN'T THEY FIX THEM IN CS:S GUYS

ps you couldn't air dodge in SSB.

Also, I need proof that they confirmed the rumor was false. I've never heard anything about it to date and I read video game news several times a day on various websites.

Wheres the news story about Ganon, that one I've never heard of.

Stuff like this is all false. Everything that Sakurai has confirmed is on the new SSB:B website.

Neither of those two sites said anything about removing the clones or not.

Just a note on wavedashing, if they indeed set it up so that wavedashing was part of the codeing, then woudent they have mentioned it in the players manuel or any of the players guide? None of these mention wavedashing or L-canceling, i think it would be too farfetched to call it a exploitable glitch since it does no damage and pretty much just helps you move from 1 place to the other quickly.
