What happenned to VerTex?

I don't know if this is the right place to post (I'm new over here), but what happenned to 1337VerTex1337? It seems like he vanished all of a sudden just like Hazelnut around an year ago or so and all of his videos were lost. Unless, of course, someone saved them. It would be really shitty if I weren't able to see any of his best videos anymore, like when he AAed vertex gamma, or NEARLY passed TOI 1.7 rate.

So, main questions:
1. What happenned to 1337VerTex1337? Why did he disappear like that?
2. Does anyone else have his best videos saved? It would be a shame to lose those.

I say EtienneSM because I figured they were friends since I recall one of them always streaming and the other watching.

Edit: I'm just asking because it has happenned before (with Hazelnut) and because I'm worried about the fact that something bad might've happenned to him, not entirely curious .

At some point his videos were not anymore under 1337vertex1337 but under his real name on youtube, though i can't find these anymore now.

I'm not sure what happened to him honestly. He's disappeared then reappeared before but I never asked him why. I noticed his channel was gone yesterday but I'm sure he'll be back. Hopefully... If he's on Skype, I'll ask him.

Biggest index talent in the history of stepmania... and nowe gone, it's kinda sad. Probably he figured out he needed to spend time on more important things in life, from what I recall he had no symptoms of depression or any other things like that (i had a talk with him when i had a major anxiety/near suicidal depression attack) so I wouldn't be too worried.

The thing that bothers me the most is that he just disappeared without telling anyone at all why or if he was going to go. And to answer question #2, most likely not, no one really archives rhythm gaming videos, only ones that are archived are ones that are from years ago.

The only video I saved from him is his X Soldier Storm 1.3 rate 92.03% DP score and that was just by chance.

Last time I saw him play was on Wednesday when he played my Fuck The Score pack and did some requests (like Fascination Eternal Love Mix Challenge 2.0 rate). A little before that he mentioned to me that he disliked his username, so chances are he might be going to a new username.

Of course he might just be taking a break too. EtienneSM talks to VerTex frequently from what I remember; I don't talk to him as much.

That's pretty much who I had in mind, haha.
If he's starting a new account and such, then he most likely backed up his videos, if he didn't back them up, then that's honestly very upsetting, my jaw dropped the more and more I watched TOI 1.7. Best stepmania video so far imo.
