Let's make Spread Kaiden and Index Kaiden tiers

The BMS scene has dan tiers that classify songs by difficulty tier. Passing a series of 5 of them makes you that tier.

"Kaiden" is essentially the hardest tier of songs you can pass, and "Overjoy" is just insane shit that only a dozen or so people can pass.

I think for Index, Kaiden would be something like my file to the "Arch0wl" song (which I've gotten a high B on) or something a bit harder than Gaussian Mist, and Overjoy would be Disregard

No idea what spread would be, which is why I'm posting this

Perhaps I can come with some kind of overjoy/Kaiden courses for index. Going to take some thinking though. Disregard is a little too easy for overjoy imo. If anything, it'd be the easiest song in that course.

probably but I dunno who has passed disregard index except anobody, vertex and you, and anobody's pass was pushing it

(e.g. the sort of C/low B pass you could make on slidey keys but would be shit on a logitech)

a dan course is the sort of thing where you should be able to high B / low A the songs at minimum

Well for the 4k overjoy courses on osu that Eze came up with, the only people that have passed (Hit the qualifying score) the overjoy course are Stian and I, so it's kind of normal that only very few people would be capable of doing the Overjoy course. Rather than based on passing, I'm probably going to base it off of a certain score (90% DP perhaps?) Maybe 85 depending on the course.

We're probably going to need a separate course for Vertex considering he's tiers even above me in index lol.

What about sprindex, would that mean that getting tier x on sprindex would be tier x-1 on index? Considering Vertex is better than me with 2x less fingers and I'm already Overjoy considering your example. Same with Aoreo.

Also I can help with that since I got some index/sprindex knowledge.

The sprindex one would be considerably harder, given that sprindex requires much less effort in your forearms than index, making stamina way easier and since you're using more fingers you're able to tolerate higher BPM's. Currently coming up with a list now for Kaiden and Overjoy, hopefully it doesn't turn out too ridiculous lol.

I can understand the mixup but nah, I'm referring to an equivalent kind of kaiden ranking for Stepmania -- a set of songs you'd have to pass with a good score to be an elite player, basically

about 4k people can do the IIDX kaiden course (I think -- don't quote me on this) and about 250-300 people can do the BMS kaiden course, and about 7 people can do the overjoy course (but about 3,000 people can do the equivalent of IIDX kaiden on BMS)

so a kaiden course for sm would be similarly selective/elite

So my idea is that X tier on 4-sprindex equals X-1 tier on 3-sprindex equals X-2 tier on index. Going this way of thinking, if I'd pass tier 10 course with sprindex(or whatever the numeration would look like), I'd be rated tier 8.

Does this make sense?

Luminal = Kaiden, Tachyon = Overjoy. Most of these files are originally from SM, and they could be transferred to SM spread to begin with. Not quite happy with some songs though, and there's also the fact that it's way too easy, especially Luminal and Tachyon. But that could always be amended.

I'm personally not very fond of using pass grades for spread dans, but that's a discussion for another time

Aren't there like only 20 people playing stepmania competitively now, and they all would qualify to be kaiden anyway
