2 things:

1.) The ending on the show compared to the ending in the manga is total bull...****. (I read the ending in the manga about 2 days before the series end. i hadnt read any of the other issues, just the last 3 chapters of the last one).

2.) can you guys direct me in the way of another show as addictive and though provoking as Death Note? I dont think that Code Geass, Bleach, And Shin Chan are gonna' do it for me anymore...i mean, not after that...

Umineko no Naku Koro Ni is the next series by the same author as Higurashi, which takes place near the ocean. This is a lightnovel series, and its animation is not started yet. Umineko=seagull, Higurashi=cicada

I would love to know some recent titles as well. I know so little of this year (like Night Wizard, SSII, CLANNAD, Genshiken2, Nanatsuiro Drops, Hidamari Sketchbook, all not so well known/accepted animes).

I like the drama better, only because the anime/manga has the half-crappy ending with N saying, "With the two of us combined, we can beat L." Cheesy.

Drama, L solves everything by sacrificing his life. There's also a cool movie that shows how L lives the last 13 days of his life after Kira dies.
