Sick pace. I'm guessing you get faster towards the end because of the down hill?

I was jogging a trail one day and a strange looking woman asked me what I was running from. I just kept going.

I improved my 5k time from 40 minutes to 34! I think I can break 30 if I really push myself.

Aside from just running more often at a faster pace for as long as possible what are some tips for imrpoving my time? Or is that really all there is too it. I imagine dropping weight will make things easier but I'd like to do what I can now apart from that.

I’m not as fast as I used to be but I can still run a mile in the 6 minute zone.

Controlled Breathing and the tempo of your footsteps helped me a lot.

The downhill helps, but even then, the grade-adjusted pace (Effort-based pace) doesn't show that I was going much slower than if it were flat. It definitely helps momentum wise though haha.
