Re: just made 1000$ in less than 2 minutes.
I don't think anybody will wait until they're 18 if they want to watch porn.

I'm not saying I'd lay down AA. I'm saying it's not much of an accomplishment to win with AA, and that it's not much of a strategy to wait until you get AA.

Squeek, you seem to be leaving out the human factor when it comes to gambling.

What I don't get is, How you won all that, but your Frequent Player Point's is only 2. Where when you win a pot, over a certain ammount of dollars, you get "X" FPP per ammount in pot. If you say you won that much, your FPP should be much more than 2.

Re: just made 1000$ in less than 2 minutes.
lumph how many people did you go all in with?
I play pokerstars too and I have won a fairly significant amount of money without putting any in. 1. play a freeroll, get in top 99 if the maximum players are 12,000. If it's 10,000 get in the top 89. 2. play weekly round 2 and get in the money. 3. build up your money in money tourneys till you have a lot. And keep gaining money steadily and increasingly. If you play good poker every time you enter a money tourney and with 15 minute levels (increases your odds of making the money if levels are longer), you will win in the long run. For example: I made $10.00 off a weekly round 2 (which I have a lot of tickets for now) and played $2.00 tourneys until I got to $20.00. Than I started playing $4.00 tourneys and so on. And I made it to around 500$ but I gave it away because I realized it's like stealing because I'm 16 and some people actually depend on pokerstars for money. occasionally you have a lucky tourney and make it to the final table (and even win some) and make a fair bit. There is nothing to lose if you play like this and it's fun anyway. I might do this again when I'm 18 just for fun in my free time but until then, I'm sticking to freerolls. oh and for those wondering, my strategy varies for texas hold'em. Sometimes I do things that make no sense and lose a very small amount of chips just to rattle my opponents and win bigger pots off them later. Occasionally make small bluffs at certain times and make sure not to commit too much before the flop because even in the best case scenarios you only have an 80% chance of winning against a single opponent before the flop. If I'm not running low on chips I fold AA if two or more people have gone all in pre-flop. If I have many many chips compared to the blinds and so did the person that went all in before the flop, I'll fold no matter what. (unless we are heads up and all the opponent does is go all in) And sometimes show your bluff because it often rattles opponents. The most important thing is to never get emotional or go on tilt. And the game is mostly about playing to people's tendencies more than the cards you or they are holding. Most hands are won without seeing the river. know your opponent, take notes, and know the odds. Know who is more likely to fold at a bluff and who is more likely to stick around on flush draws or straight draws. And sometimes committing a smaller amount of chips makes people fold more often than betting a large number of chips. They think: "why would he bet so little? He must be slow playing a monster hand." And even if it doesn't work, you didn't lose that many chips. The problem with most people is that they think they have to win with big hands quickly and double-up constantly to have a chance of winning the tourney. They couldn't be more wrong. It's about staying alive and gaining chips in near risk-free ways. While the ultimate goal is to win the tournament, that shouldn't be thought of till you reach the final table.
