Default Skill Token Official Discussion and Tips thread

Hello everyone, I thought I'd make a skill token discussion thread, with tips and everything, here are my tips and opinions on all the skill tokens:

I generally do not play songs below very difficult difficulty, difficulty's range from 0-12, anyways:

Beginner's skill tokens:

1. Eien Maikyu

difficulty: 0

worth it: yes because you can probably get it with your eyes closed and it's another skill token

hint: too easy, just do it

2. Calm (short and slow mix)

difficulty: 0

worth it: considering you do nothing, yes

hint: hold down any button and lose the song with all boos, you still get it with 0 goods and 0 misses, never said you had to pass

3. Absolute Zero

difficulty: 0

worth it: sure, takes no effort

hint: set auto-kill for 5 misses, hit the first arrow, and then just press nothing and lose, 1 perfect, 0 goods, 0 averages, 5 misses, and 0 boos gets you the token

4. So Long to the Circus

difficulty: 1

worth it: sure, too easy to care not to

hint: just hit 200 arrows, doesn't matter the combo, and then just die

5. Heavy Danger

difficulty: 1

worth it: if you hate AAA's, then no, if you want an easy one, then yes

hint: just set the auto-kill, get an accurate computer, and hit to the beat, using any hand position on this is fine

6. Three Ring Nightfall

difficulty: 1

worth it: sure, it's easy to get

hint: just try not to lose the song

7. First Try

difficulty: 2

worth it: it's a nice song by Torley, so yes, I recomend it

hint: it's hard for some people to pass the Yoshi bonus round, especially people who just started playing, try and track the arrow's, make the speed 1.25x, and use 4 finger spread, not very difficult if you can track the arrows

that's all for begginer's,

PLEASE DO NOT POST UNTIL AFTER MY NEXT POST OF THE EASY SKILL TOKENS

and if you could make this a sticky that would be cool

EDIT: Does TRD even update that anymore?

This is an insanely bad idea.

Half the fun is to have people figure out how to get the tokens by themselves.

if you're going to do this, you should at least list how to get them in the first place.

Easy Skill Tokens:

1. Spontaneous Hydroxide V2

difficulty: 2

worth it: if AAA'ing is easy for you

hint: this ones a little bit tricky, Spontaneous Hydroxide has a few things to watch out for, 1 is the up arrow jack, be careful, it's long and needs to be timed correctly, 2 is the notes are not completely in-sync, I suggest you play 4 finger spread and mute the volume

2. Idol

difficulty: 3

worth it: if you like J-pop, I liked it and the steps are good, so yes

hint: to pass this song is a bit trickier than the others, you must watch out for the 64th bursts, and don't mash the jumps, all in all it should not be that hard to pass, just don't mash!

3. UNknown girl

difficulty: 3

worth it: most definitly

hint: I suggest you FC Bicycle Break, you need a combo of at least 1200 to get 40 creds, or 500 combo twice in 1 song

4. V1

difficulty: 3

worth it: if you like that song, and it's a pretty skill token

hint: work hard, set the auto kill, it's not hard, a little bit of whoring won't hurt, watch out for the 16th streams, you can't see them though cause' the colors are all blue

5. Lift Up

difficulty: 2

worth it: YOU NEED THIS SKILL TOKEN!! CHAIN!!!

hint: this ones easy, we're back down to 2, all you need to do is be accurate with your perfects, any hand position will do

6. Nippon Zenkoku

difficulty: 3

worth it: not IMO

hint: if you pass Pretty Green Onions, even through mashing, there's a low chance you'll get more than 1000 perfects unless you're moderately good at FFR

7. Eternus

difficulty: 2

worth it: yes

hint: this is rather easy, just pass those songs, they're long so put time away for it, but none are too hard, and you can mash through Max Forever if you must, and try and get UNknown girl while you're at it!

8. What-ever

difficulty: 3

worth it: sure

hint: this ones not too hard, if you're comfortable with comboing good, if not you can mash it, it's still easy

9. Dance to Moroder

difficulty: 2

worth it: sure

hint: just pass with a good PA, not hard

10. Disconnected

difficulty: 3

worth it: yes, only because of Mobius

hint: just pass Robotix with an average if not lower PA, it's not too hard, watch out for the jumps

11. Abyss

worth it: sure

difficulty: 1

hint: just pass Horizon with 1 of everything, that's all, even more, it's impossible to get more than 1000

12. Incognito V2

worth it: sure

difficulty: 1

hint: just pass Incognito, you'll get that score

13. Disconnected -mobious-

worth it: yes

difficulty: 1

hint: set auto-kill and practice

14. Hatten Carnival V2

difficulty: 3

worth it: sure

hint: just pass Hatten Carnival and you'll have the score

more coming tomorrow!

He also has a strange idea about which tokens are easier or harder than others...what's his final scale go to if these are all 1-3?

[then he also rates v1/nippon/unknown girl 3s as well]

strange system, indeed

Heh...you score twice for two combos? Who knew that a song full of tons of arrows like Max means that the way you can get 40 in it works on every song.

Yep.
An official skill token thread would probably reduce all the "How to get unknown girl" topics too.

14. Hatten Carnival V2

difficulty: 1

worth it: sure

hint: just pass Hatten Carnival and you'll have the score

"Just pass", "Difficulty 1"? There are a lot of people who can't pass that, I meant A LOT! So I'd maybe rate it a Difficulty of 4.
