Too many songs?

It makes it more fun to me. If it only had like 100 songs I would of played all of them and be bored. More is better.

If there's a limit of how many songs is too many, to discourage people from trying to complete everything, we've passed it long ago. Nobody's gonna think that they could do well on 400 songs but not 1000. It takes time to play through everything, sure, but that just gives more respect to the people who have done it. And if you don't want to play all the songs, you shouldn't be worrying about average rank anyway.

Personally, I really like the variety. If there were half as many FMO/FGOs left to play, I'd probably spend half as much time playing. If there are a lot of different files, you can always play one of the type you feel like playing.

Well.. Put another way: If you care about ranks enough to play through every song in the game, you're going to have fun watching the ranks drop as you complete more and more songs, and watching your levelrank on each song improve over time.

I gave up on my ranks at about 600 do to this, it's time consuming to constantly improve 100's of ranks at a time. Other people may like it which is fine.

Maybe once there are more than 1000 public levels it would be a good idea to release 2-3 new weekly songs instead of 4, maybe.

FFR is not like any other game most are usually playing. This isnt a game where you play it and can walk through and complete it in like 3 hours or a day. This is a rhythm game, the more songs to play is usually better. A new player doesnt even have to worry about playing all the songs because you sure as hell know they arent going to be playing all the songs based on their skill when they start.

It becomes "too many songs" for some people when there are too many files you don't particularly enjoy and becomes a chore to AAA/FC. Like how attempting to AAA blue note files is more of a drag rather than it is fun(just an example).

But of course we should still get new songs on a regular basis IMO, there will come a time where the game will eventually die(even if it takes a couple years) if no new songs are released; old players would quit sooner or later if there is no new content, same with MMORPGS.

Not true.

I actually play for both but I mostly hate 3:30 + songs. Pain to AAA and most of them aren't that great to listen to.

Some are... to me, anyways
