Can I use a sword for the watermelon instead of a mallet? Idk how strict the rules are.

It depends on how strict the judge's ruling is. For a front page contest this unfortunately seems to be a pretty slow thread and I don't think questions will be getting answered. A good question though is should we link an Imgur album with all of them or are they required to be posted as [img] tags in the thread?

In other news: depending on ruling, I'm at 150 points with 65 more than I can reasonably achieve.

You need to be playing on the machine. Here are your options:
a) get someone else to take the picture for you.
b) set up a recording device and take a still from that.
c) set up a time lapse photo on your phone/camera and snag a picture.

Needs to be a mallet, part of the challenge is being able to do these photos as specified.

It really has not been that slow for questions being answered, a lot of us staff were a bit distracted about the conversation going on in the What's happening in here thread as well.

Imgur album is fine but I wouldn't post it until you're finished because updates may go unnoticed.

TCG has 5 people dedicated to running it, only 2 are from the event's team. A lot of the event's team members needed some time off or had to move on to other things. I'm actually about to be working on bringing on another person or two.

That would be awesome. FFR events are one of the biggest reasons I play. Grinding songs gets boring. Events give me something to do and a reason to play/stick around.

I have 3 more that I can do but I've been super lazy. Four days left to get around to it I guess. Of all things we don't have hotdogs handy..

And I am finally done taking pictures. Maybe one more if I happen across a rollie pollie sometime but I haven't seen any lately. I realize a few of the pictures aren't EXACTLY correct but I got as close as I could. Namely the Elsa cutout. In the tent picture there IS a pillow behind my head. It just blends in because my friend sucks at pictures. >.>

EDIT. I added one more picture in the easy category that somehow got missed.
