They get first access to new songs when mods feel like being jerks and restricting new songs to vets only initially

and also a blue username in the forums

pretty sure they stopped this like a LONG time ago, which is good IMO (now if only fucking rate scores counted so I'd feel compelled to play Legacy bullshit)

they also got rid of the vets board, that thing was dead as a doornail

the FAQ says
Being a veteran gives you several features, such as:
- Access to the FFR R^2 engine. (This thing is occasionally aight to play when I'm on a random computer and R^3 is being bullshit for some reason)
- Reporting profiles (...WHAT THE FUCK)
- 1024kb maximum background image upload instead of 512kb (my pic is like a pixel)
- The ability to have a custom user title under your name (oh yeah)
- The amount of replays you can save jumps from 50 to 150 (neato)
- You can view other people's level stats (this one's kinda stupid)
- Certain songs can be played by veterans one week earlier. (nope)
- Access to the Veteran forum (nunca)
- You can change your user group to Veteran and have a bold blue name, as well as gaining an FFR Veteran title under your avatar. Your name also shows up blue in profile chat if you have it selected as your primary group. (hardyharhar)
- Access to the beta level reader (...WHAT IS THIS?)
- The amount of PMs you can save jumps from 500 to 5,000. (aight)
- Maximum size of a custom signature image upload (and 19.5kb restriction) is removed. (well...)
- The five recipient personal message limit is removed. (the fuck is this lol terrible)
