My school blocked FFR
I've been playing FFR in school since September, until today when I tried accessing the site, and it was blocked! It really sucks because I don't have a lot of free time at home, so I play FFR during my free time in school. Eh, I wasn't good at this game anyway.

Re: My school blocked FFR
Knowing schools, they probably will block certain ports that will prevent you from connecting to the server. I guess you could just put your entire client on USB and copy all the songs over for offline play.

Re: My school blocked FFR
do we still have mirrors like studenteducation.net? XD
that would really help you play songs, although the scores wouldn't be recorded

Re: My school blocked FFR
WTFBrandon, Xiao, and I used to play FFR and SM in our high school computer labs all the time and what they ended up doing was pretty funny.
>Plays FFR. >School tech support blocks FFR. >Plays FFR on those mirror sites. >School tech support blocks FFR mirror sites the following year. >Start running SM off a USB. >School tech support blocks ALL external programs run from USB the following year. >Plays KeyBeat. Following this trend, chances are they blocked KeyBeat after we had all graduated. This I can't confirm because I have not been back to that shit hole.

my highschool blocked halo and
edit: they actually were able to block the execution of certain programs on school computers, don't know how they did it though (it was more than just checking filename)

Re: My school blocked FFR
They're not outdated in my opinion. : P
near the end of last year the firewall got hacked or something so we could play practically ANYTHING that was blocked for the rest of the school year. It was down for a bit of this year but then around October it got up again. It was only like, a week ago my friend told me about this Proxy Plugin for Chrome (I hate Chrome so I always used Firefox :I), and it took a bit but it worked. I'm still terrified whenever it gives me the "Maintenance" screen though. So that's one downside to that I guess. |
