Saw 3D
So the seventh and final installment in the Saw series is finally here! The movie will be coming out on Friday in full 3D.
As an avid fan of the series I'm very interested in seeing how it all unfolds and how it ends. It is directed by Kevin Greutert, the same director of Saw VI so you can definitely expect good things from this move. The plot line of the series has become very complex and convoluted and I'm wondering if anyone else in the FFR community is as excited about this move as I am. From what I've seen so far the trailer looks good and the traps look very interesting (can anyone say public outdoor trap?). Hopefully it will live up to my expectations and as the final chapter I believe it will. I have been following the series ever since Saw 3 came out and with the original Saw being one of my favorite movies of all time come Friday I shall be a very happy kid! So is anyone else excited? And perhaps we can discuss some of our favorite traps as well as maybe what we want to see happen in the new movie. Thoughts?

Re: Saw 3D
I want to go see it just to see how this whole storyline thing ends. Just hate the fact that everything is in F'in 3D now, kinda annoying, some moves arent ment to be in 3D( ex. Jackass 3).

Re: Saw 3D
After Saw 2, I just watched it for the traps; the story got WAY out of hand.
Seeing Saw 3D to watch Chester Bennington get mutilated.

I don't believe Avatar was worth 3D at all. I saw it in both 3D and 2D in theaters, and I personally enjoyed it in 2D far more. As for Saw 3D I hope you can see it without the 3D glasses it does not look worth it from the 3D preview I saw. I do want to see how the series ends and I thought 6 was probably one of the best in the series. |

Re: Saw 3D
So I saw it last night. I actually had high expectations for this one mainly because Saw VI was so good. Very, very big disappointment.
I expected more plot development, I expected more flashbacks, I expected more returning characters, I expected everything to come together in the end, hell I expected better acting. None of these I received. Although the ending was fantastic, I hoped it would be different. Nothing really came together and Tobin Bell was only one scene the entire movie! It was filled with new characters and new plots and not much was alluded to from previous films. Oh and the traps were not very good this time around. They lost their cleverness, they weren't well thought out at all, and the 3D just made everything tacky. Although the 3D did make me laugh a few times as blood comes spurting at the screen. Not to mention the first thirty or so minutes of the film did not feel like a Saw film whatsoever... It felt like a parody of a Saw film it was so ridiculous. I must say I'm very disappointed and in my mind this is probably the worst of all seven Saw films. After seeing all seven I can now rank them from best to worst! Saw, Saw VI, Saw II, Saw IV, Saw V, Saw III, Saw 3D. Anyone else agree? What are your opinions?
