why?
Xbox is overrated, Playstation is overrated, and most people hate Nintendo for no reason.

Re: why?
nice one. But yea, its all a matter of oppinion. Xbox is amazing to a lot of people because of Xbox live (but since i dont play it often enough, im not paying 50 bucks a year for something Ill use maybe a month in total). PS3 WAS looking good, but Sony had to be dicks and now everyone hates them, they killed Lik Sang! EVIL SONY! not to mention their products have been quite crappy lately (like the exploding laptop batteries....heh). And Nintendo is just passed off as kiddy, even though some of the games are amazing once you get past the bright and cheery exterior (just like how Kingdom Hearts is a great game once you get past the whole Disney thing). If you want to see a really great rant about sony, check this out!

Playstation has good games, but it's such a small percentage of their total library. They specialize in RPGs and games with unique controls. With a huge library of options for the PS2, it's obvious that it was the victor. Nintendo has good games and a lot of them, including solid first-party titles. They have a mix of everything for everyone. People assume Nintendo is a kiddish system because they compare it to the drunken college student's system, Xbox. They don't realize that "E" does not mean "for kids", but really means "for everyone". Last I checked, "everyone" was not limited "kids". |

People also forget about MGS and Resident Evil on Nintendo Systems.
Blood + Guns + Violence = not kid games >.> I don't know of any others right now.

[quote=Squeek;994606]\It has no RPGs and it probably won't get them.\QUOTE]
Now what happened to Starwars KOTOR? That was an amazing RPG and it was also very intellectual, not like i am defending xbox or anything, but i think you arent giving it enough credit. If anything i think that Playstation is dangeriously UNDERrated, it has a great variety of games that promote logical thinking and it has something for everyone. Not like Nintendo which are geared for some more of the less mature audience which gives almost instant pleasure, and the Xbox which is geared for the mature audience who like to relieve some pent up stress by shooting, racing, fighting, and anyother testosterone based type of genre. |

Re: why?
Fine, let me re-phrase.
Everything I said implied exclusive rights. Fable was ported to PC and they actually finished the game on the PC version. KOTOR was ported to PC. KOTOR II was ported to PC. You know, pretty much anything on Xbox is ported to PC. |

Re: why?
But then again, you can port pretty much anything to your PC nowadays.
With emulators and ROMs, it isn't that hard. ~Tsugomaru |

We'll eventually get there. For now, I'll be content lugging around a tiny box rather than my PC.

Re: why?
Fable and KOTOR are American RPGs, which, as everyone knows, do not count as RPGs.
The original Xbox has a grand total of 0 Japanese RPGs. Wow. |

Original Xbox was made for america you know, that could be a reason why there arent any japanese RPG games. You also realise that there are countless japanese games not to ever be released in america right? Does that mean they dont count as games either? |

Re: why?
My point is that Microsoft's console cannot hold onto exclusive titles because they won't sell as many copies without pursuing alternate mediums. Though most people who use computers use Windows, not everyone does, and unless Microsoft had a hand in the production of the game, they won't see any profits from the port.

You know how in Japan they call our fast food "heart attack burgers"? Well, that's the perfect example of stuff geared to our place. Even though they do have fast food places all over :/ |
