Step Songs For FFR!!!
ALL DISCUSSION OF FFR FILES/PERMISSIONS CAN GO INTO THIS SUBFORUM: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...splay.php?f=63
Past few months, I've basically only gotten submissions from the same 3 or 4 people... excluding the crappy ones that I get randomly. I'd love it if some of you experts would make a few files each for FFR. We have a TON of music available for you to pick from... this thread links to all of FFRs blanket permissions from our big time artists... Sharpnel, Spook, SGX, etc etc etc. Gotta be hundreds of songs from there alone. Although I'd like to see some things other than Sharpnel. this guy just posted his stuff for us last night. I listened to a bunch of it earlier today, and it's pretty damn good. Another place you could look to for using songs for FFR. Once you step a file, send it to my gmail... tasselfoot@gmail[dot]com. Send a .rar or .zip and make sure the folder within the compressed file has your FFR username in it, such as: "Klung Kung 2004 (Shashakiro)". Knowing the caliber of simfile artists that peruse this forum, I'm sure it'll be quality at which point it'll go into my queue and eventually make it into FFR. The current queue is only about 3 songs long, so it wouldn't be a long wait at all if you get me files quickly. Things to know: -do NOT publically distribute a .dwi for an FFR Original. that will disqualify it automatically from consideration -leave 2 seconds of blank space at the start of your file. the notes will get cut off by the converter if they are there -no freezes -bpm changes ARE NOW OK! -you CAN use anything up to 64th notes, including 48ths. -try to avoid using any jack at over 175bpm. it'll be unAAAable on FFR. And don't forget... we MUST have permission to use the song. Check this thread once you submit your file. It is where ALL updates to song submissions go. We post updates about once a week, so be patient if your song isn't commented on right away. UPDATE 3/28/07: i need a folder inside the zip/rar. and the folder name needs to be: "song name (ffr username)" NEEDS your username in the folder name. NEEDS the folder. DOES NOT need the artist in the folder name (but it still needs to be in the .dwi artist data). also, i want it in the EXACT format listed above... as opposed to any other variation. for future batches, if you don't include a folder, i will not accept it. i'll send you an email requesting the correct format.

Re: Step Songs For FFR!!!
Small note: Any jack at over 150 BPM 16ths has a chance of being un-AAA'able. The faster it is, the higher the chance. Jacks at 225 will all be un-AAA'able, and anything above that might be 1-frame and un-good'able. 450 will all be un-good'able. Don't use anything above that, since it might break the game.
In general, when stepping files for FFR, you need a GOOD musical justification to use jacks (even below 150 BPM, but CERTAINLY above it). Stick them in randomly just because you like jacks and you'll likely be asked to change it.

Re: Step Songs For FFR!!!
Terror From Beyond is a Digital Explosion song. Does this mean I can step Hardcore of the North for FFR?
EDIT: **** I forgot about the bpm changes and stuff. I could keep it at one bpm and use offbeat notes to sync it I guess. Only if I can step it though. |

Re: Step Songs For FFR!!!
FFR is on a cmod so just use one really high BPM to get it all onsync or something. It'll have holiday note syndrome though.

Re: Step Songs For FFR!!!
By the way, I could probably try stepping something, I'll look over what there's permission to do.
EDIT: Has Disconnected Hazard by DM Ashura been stepped for FFR yet?

Re: Step Songs For FFR!!!
I think I read somewhere that I need 6 simfiles already created or something for it to be eligible for submission. Is this true? Because I've actually released over 10 simfiles (with a lot of unreleased ones) but I lost them all when the simfile database was reset.

Re: Step Songs For FFR!!!
My VGMP submissions will all be in pretty soon. After that, I'll see what I can do. It's a good idea posting this here. This is the board that the people you're looking for visit.

Patashu: no, no one has stepped it. if you want to step it, I'll let Ashura know to verify that it is ok... although I'm 99.999% sure he'll be ok with it.
Triplex: you need 0 previous experience... but we do not except every file sent to us. we will give constructive critisism. dance: awesome.

Re: Step Songs For FFR!!!
Then what do you think the probability of getting another MSI song on FFR? I think it would probably be pretty low.

Re: Step Songs For FFR!!!
I just finished stepping a song, I'll send it in - it's my first try, so it might not be great, but we'll see..

triplex: I contacted my guy at MSI a few weeks ago... never heard back from him. I'll try again and see if we can get another. Not sure though. I'll make sure it is well known if we get another.

Re: Step Songs For FFR!!!
Hm, decided disconnected hazard wasn't really my thing. I'll hit up all the other artists we have blanket permissions from to see if I can find pitch relevant step

Re: Step Songs For FFR!!!
BPM CHANGES ARE NOW OK. STOPS ALSO, ALTHOUGH STOPS WON'T SHOW UP.
BPM changes are CMODish... everything will still scroll at c300, you just don't have to use 32nds, 48ths, or 64ths to make it on beat.
