Specforces -- Chillax man

Ok, I realize that TWG is just a game (waits for the gasps), but it's a serious game. It's not a game like mario party, or maybe super smash brothers, where you just dive in fighting and screaming.

It's a lot more like chess, or scrabble even. If you were playing a real game chess with someone, and an hour into the game they started putting random pieces back on the board or moving things around just for the heck of it, wouldn't you be slightly upset?

I really hate directing this at spec, because I know it has happened before, but if you don't have something related to the game to post, then don't post. I'm not really one to talk, it being only my second game, but I've lost interest in following the rest of the game because I'm sick of weeding through his pointless posts. Seriously, if I wanted to see a conversation with smarter child I would IM it.

It's nothing against you personally man, and it's not just you that does it... relax a little bit, post-whore somewhere else like the gbin, not the game thread.

I agree but you can't really do anything about it. Some games are serious and most aren't.

TWG is fairly serious and I think I'll see if they will let me play in their next game, since you really only need to play in 1 jTWG before you can be accepted into TWG.

I like how you're the one telling him to chillax when the main point of this thread is about how you don't like Spec joking around.

Anyway, there's no point in arguing this at all. If you move up to TWG, you're going to be playing with Tass, and I'd bet that you'll have a problem with the way he plays (not because I do, but because so many others seem to). There's nothing you can do about it. You need to realize it's just a game and move on.

Spec isn't actually taking away from the game. He's just adding in (much needed) comedic relief. This game often gets far too serious, regarding the fact that it's a GAME. You're supposed to have fun with it. Some can only obtain this through winning; others just from fooling with other people and experimenting with different ideas. Either way, it's their choice. It's not really affecting you, so you don't need to try to stop it.

If it really is affecting you, I'd say that's your fault, honestly. It's not that hard to just skip over his posts instead of "weeding through them".

All in all, jTWG doesn't need to be taken very seriously. As an example, I'll cite what happened in the jTWG uh.. something postgame, awhile back. Demon of the Comet and Dan Lewis were having a flame war of some sorts, for whatever reason. In an attempt to stop it, Kilga stated a very important fact that needs to get through to you: TWG is like a varsity sports team, and jTWG is like JV. There's no real reason to take things personally in JV. This is just a way to prepare yourself for TWG, so all you need to do is try to get what you can out of it.
