Re: How to get better at FFR
Try songs with jumpstreams, indexing & 16th streams and use the Sudden Death mod as much as sanely possible. After a while, you'll be able to register faster beats.
And one trick that seems to help me a lot is that you should look at the judgment instead of the arrows on a fast speed mod (C600 is what I use). That way, you'll only be able to focus on the rhythm to the song. And try using single colored NoteSkins too to help with tempo. |

Re: How to get better at FFR
I strongly urge people to try different things. Experiment with different play styles to find one that is most comfortable. Figure out where you are most weak and focus on improving those areas. You'll know when you're getting better when you are randomly listening to music one day and mentally tapping out patterns and seeing arrows -- that is when the addiction has set in

Re: How to get better at FFR
I suggest you do songs with good beats, just to start off. If you're new, try focusing on "Dance" songs. They have great beats that are EASY to tap along with. You will eventually get better (of course), so move into different things. Hip-Hop is good for beginners too. Just do what you like, what-ever is easy to tap too. Then move on with the harder ones. Here is a list of difficulties:
-Easiest -For Beginners -Easy -Standard -Tricky -Difficult -Very Difficult -Challenging -Very Challenging -For Masters Only -For Gurus Only Work your way down! What I did was, once I got 75% or more on most songs on Easiest, I moved to "For Beginners" songs. Once I got 75% or more on almost all songs on that type (For Beginners), move toward "Easy". Just a tip. Cheers, and enjoy FFR! - NOIR |

Re: How to get better at FFR
White notes are "other" notes: anything that doesn't fit into the ones previously posted. It could be anywhere from a 192nd to a 5th or a 17th.

'Scroll the screen so you only see about half of the total screen'
wt? first off, i dont understand your reasoning for saying this, and second, isnt it the same as turning hyperspeed on? |

Re: How to get better at FFR
they way I practice is putting the speed up to 2x and keep practicing on that speed and once your getting decent at it lower the speed to 1.5x or 1.25x and you'll do great
