Re: How to get better at FFR
don't ever leave ffr for days...
your PA skills/ skills in general...will go down the drain. I was camping up in the mountains freezing my butt off, after I returned home...I expected to pick up ffr right off the bat...O_O but there it goes...I warmed up with some easier songs...and MISSED :X with a cr@p load of 40-60 goods. |

If it doesn't feel right, you can either continue playing that way until you get used to it, or continue playing one handed, and just practice. If you aren't that good a first, switching your playing style may not always help. But, it's easier (for most) to play two handed. If all else fails, you can try playing spread. There are a few key-mapping programs out there, and I'm pretty sure at least one of them is stickied in a thread. Here is the stickied thread, with the most popular key-mapping program. There is a much simpler and more effective version, which I have, but I cannot find it at the moment. I'll post it once I do. Hope this helps. =) EDIT:: Found it |

Re: How to get better at FFR
Umm "kooties" just keep on practiseing with one hand, it took me awhile to "master" one hand..(im not the greatest at it tho).. For the UP and DOWN arrows i just starighten out my middle finger and lay it down ontop of both keys. It takes a while to get usto, but im sure you'll get the hang of it(:
The total amount of fingers I play with is three. It will probably be the easiest way to play one handed with (: -Index finger -Middle finger -& Ring finger Hope it helps

Re: How to get better at FFR
So, scroll the screen up until you only see the top-half, huh? Sounds a bit risky, but I'll try it out, anyway. Gotta learn through experience, right?

Re: How to get better at FFR
Playing other people only helps you improve in competitive things. Since "playing someone else" doesn't actually modify your own play experience at all, I don't see how playing someone else will help you improve more than just playing will.

Try playing one hand two fingers, if you can do that then you must be getting better lol.

Re: How to get better at FFR
Also, if you play somebody else it multiplayer, you might get worse. Most of the time, the game lags while in MP. Therefore, you might not be able to play at teh best of your ability, and you might start doing bad once it stops lagging. I'd just suggest playing by yourself.

Re: How to get better at FFR
i have played other DDR based games and have owned em all but when i played this i said holy cow i can't even beat standard or very easy.
so i just started playing the weak songs and after 2 hours i tried a standard and i saw that my reaction time has gotten better! i think you just need to practice and to get used to seeing the arrows go fast. i play with one hand and i have always played with one so maybe i should play with two? who is really really good and can perfect a classical song with one hand? |

Re: How to get better at FFR
i play one handed, and i'm not the greatest, but i have no trouble FCing any song up to tricky difficulty, and i can finish most other songs as well, it just takes practice, find a style that works, and stick with it. Me, i'm proud of my rank under 6 digits

Re: How to get better at FFR
I find that if I'm having difficulty in a particular song, I'll go play another song instead of whoring it. Sometimes just that little change of pace can be all you need to do better.
