Default Persona 4 Dancing all Night Pack (Submissions Open)

I'd like to create a pack with original charts for every song in Persona 4 Dancing all Night. The level of difficulty should be around ITG expert level and possibly doable on pad. The songs are simple sounding so it wouldn't make sense to have them be really hard keyboard files anyway.

I also wanted to get some high quality video rips of all the songs dance choreography just for added effect. I recently bought a playstation vita TV with hdmi output so I could do this pretty easily. Here is an example.

Here is a list of all the songs and a download to the soundtrack. May not include all of them.

that example gives no information as to how the game is actually played, so when you say "convert" I have no idea what you're talking about

I suppose that wasn't the purpose of the example. Was just showing what the background video would look like. Here is gameplay footage if you haven't already looked it up.

It's basically 6 key + a scratch.

Perhaps it should just be a 6 key pack. That would make it more directly comparable.

If it's a themed 6k pack with fully charted songs and music that is at least sort of close to the one in the first link, it's an idea I could get behind. I could always use more easy 6k to practice with

if those are considered "hard" charts then a conversion directly to 6k would make for some very boring charts. easy is one thing, you can have easy charts that aren't boring. because of how you hold a vita, and the hardware, you won't see patterns where you hit two notes at the same time on one hand. you will never see a bracket, you will never see dense one handed stuff, and you will never see 3+ notes hit at the same time.

a better idea would be to take the music and just make original 6k charts for them.

I didn't see this part of the original post but even still, it would be a better idea imo to just create original 6k charts geared towards a certain skill level. if you have 3 conversions and then a single additional chart, the difficulty between the "hardest" conversion and the original chart will be so insane that the pack will effectively be split for two parties: the people who download just for the easy, boring charts, and the people who download just for the hardest difficulty.

send me a song or two and I'll make you some original 4k or 6k charts

That seems fine. I'd imagine the hardest difficult would be only about 1 order of magnitude more difficult than the original hard mode because the songs are rather simple sounding.

I came to the conclusion that converting the in game charts would just be shit. So I guess the whole thing will be original charts.

After finally getting the playstation vita tv and a game capture device to properly record I am now able to get the video I want for every song. Aftering turning off the ui and other game sound effects and dialogue I can get just the dance.

Here is an example.

Updated the OP with all the songs in the game. Some of them may not be worth stepping. Feel free to choose any of them and just give it a go. Try not to write anything too absurdly difficult or if you do make an easier chart with it. I'd prefer this to be more like an ITG expert level of difficulty than keyboard megapack, but if it goes into that territory then so be it.

I'll probably record all of the video this weekend and possibly start writing some charts.

Just mention which song you plan on doing if you choose to help out.

This project is clearly not very popular. I might end up writing ~25 simfiles. =(

I'll grab the ost today and listen to it passively while I'm working at home
do you still want 6k charts, or are you gearing it for 4k now? I imagine that most of these will still end up pretty easy but that's alright

4key seems more ideal for the casual gamers this pack would appeal to.
