Tatsujin is probably the word you're looking for, last version before the update (Kimidori), only 3 people managed to get it, literal stamina killer
hand cam of last one

huh just noticed from kimidori to murasaki only the starting song for tatsujin course changed.

Wow! Thread of the year. Really interesting to read till page 7.

Knowing nothing of other rhythm games than SM and FFR, Staiain is my choice. Harlem Shake 1.1 AA!! WHAT THE FLYING FUCK! I tried it yesterday and managed to AA it 0.5x.
:3
I'm quite certain that nobody can move fingers accurately as fast as him

That Freedom Dive from Genesis was absolutely insane though! It would be nice to see some sort of a list of best videos from the players mentioned earlier in this thread.

As to the conversation on page 7, I have more respect for those who reach the pinnacle of one skill that those who are great at several areas, but not the best.

Maybe it's because of my musical background. Music history is all about "the greats," for better of worse.

I found several of Arch0wls posts interesting.

AAAAing songs isn't hard if you're used to SM timing, and if you're used to ITG you're used to SM timing since they are extremely similar

AAAAing songs is more a matter of focus than anything else, the distinction between 9 perfects and 0 perfects on a lot of songs is trivial as far as adaptation is concerned

You really need to understand high caliber MA/timing before you can appreciate the difference between 9 perfects and 0 on most files. The difference is far from trivial in 99% of cases lol. You reach a point where perfects almost start feeling like greats in the sense that you know you made a distinct error.

Now take something like comparing 99 perfects to 90 and then you could argue the differences are marginal.

Watching everyone play is pretty insane for me because im so bad at FFR LOL. So props out to you guys, but im gunna have to say Smitty for irl FFRing, because ive never seen so many arrows go so blurry/fast and still watch a AAA, you guys have to see his wrist muscles! Aha. Maybe even an equivalant to that would be the first time i met Luis at Anime North and he killed this really long song (almost 10 minutes?) with a AAA too i believe...!!
As for DDR, Kommisar the first year at AN when he was dressed up as a Vocaloid and just wrecked it.
