Re: Stepping Stones 2 [Submissions open!]
Quote:
1. The first one has font that I find is too thin. The picture is also taking the pack's name a little too literally. 2. I figure this second one is the "plainest" of the bunch. Beige to white colors, a somewhat visually electric font but is easily visible. A little too simple? 3. Maybe the most colorful of the four banners but honestly looks like the most similar to the banner style of other packs that have been made before...grungy font, high-tech, colorful bg. I would like something different. 4. I like the bg very much of this last banner, with the left hand space relatively devoid of the bg objects in place of the "stepping stones" text. The text seems a bit bright, and the "2" seems too far away and not really connected. It's like calling the pack "Stepping Stones........2." But I prefer this banner the most, perhaps with slight modifications. |

I really liked the original, just a different font. The one above is too thin though.

Re: Stepping Stones 2 [Submissions open!]
While I agree with this, I also don't think taking it literally is a bad thing. I think it makes for a solid banner if you don't feel like being all weird with it and it emphasizes the pack's theme. Even if a little blunt about it.

Re: Stepping Stones 2 [Submissions open!]
I have sent in a hard pad chart for this pack.
The main difficulty is Challenge (Difficulty rating still in accordance to the DDR X scale). I will try to add more difficulties whenever I have additional time.

Re: Stepping Stones 2 [Submissions open!]
Added a review, changed the deadline criteria, finished a cdtitle for DDRNGGin (PM'd you!) and updated the banner that bmah liked:
Better? I still like the updated original more. It is a little closer to the banner for the first pack, albeit without the fancy effects Also, I'm going to do my best to be more in depth with my reviews. Please bare with me! It's my first time with all this.

Re: Stepping Stones 2 [Submissions open!]
To clarify the choice to make the breath at the end a hold instead of a mine was based on how the part of the song before the "drop" happens has layering to the vocals and there's not a time in the song where I used mines to the vocals.
I'm not objecting to changing it, but that's why it is what it is. To me it was purely a consistency thing. BTW what made the expert file so hard to you? Was it the mines, or the addition of the hands + turning the three note parts into jacks? (Asking purely for my own curiosity, truth be told I have yet to FC it myself.) |

Re: Stepping Stones 2 [Submissions open!]
Yeah, it was just a case of too much going on for me. The mines in Medium I could handle, but the addition of the hands and more mines in Hard did me in. I still managed to pass, but it wasn't a clean one by any sense haha. Sending it to Scintill now
Also going too add Sailors Hornpipe because easy-peasy lemon squeezy. It's nice to see such a variety of songs and difficulties coming in! I also got one with rparty that we're collabing on, should be lots of fun!
