I do believe that while the points work in raw scoring, it takes the score from your lvl ranks so if your best recorded score is still the 9 goods, it uses that.

Are we going to have something to tell us what good count is needed to reach a certain Tier Point?

Does badges serves a purpose?
Can you make it so the Tier Point List don't replace a non-FC with good pa with a FC with bad pa? Otherwise, raw scoring is still combo scoring in a way lol.

12 is '12 or fewer' for both 99s

And yes I agree that raw scoring is essentially a facade atm, I'm hoping in the future it'll be able to record your best raw score independent of whether or not the score is your combo best

Yeah I'm feeling that I'm having some problems with certain songs on the list too.
Is it maybe tied in with how if you don't get a best score update that it doesn't update the Tier Point list?

edit: I apparently never passed J'ai envie de plaisir or Extratone Pirates...

The problem with the list is that it relates to your best score on the your level ranks, not your best raw score, which means for example a score of 24-2-0-5 on CCCP is better than 6-1-1-3 because you missed, FFR won't record it because it's not a full combo and doesn't beat your old score on the level ranks. This in turn makes the whole new system pointless in terms of using raw score, as combo scoring is still the key decider whether or not your score will improve your tier points

A way for this to be fixed would be to somehow make it where ffr not only records your best score for combos (the way level ranks are right now), but your best raw score as well, which the tier point system would use to determine your current tier points. I don't know how much work this would take but it would be more effective than what it is right now.

Alternatively everyone could just learn to full combo everything

well we do have levelstats_raw.php that they can fetch raw score stats from but we don't have a levelrank_raw.php to record raw scores to our account.

It's probably in the plans at this point and is only a matter of time (I hope so). Admins are probably waiting the right time before moving to raw scoring. If not, then it's purely ideological. The last time I asked about this (in late 2012), the reason was because of the "amount of data it would require to make that change". Now that the new server is operational, we can focus our efforts to develop new features.

We could introduce raw scoring and keep combo scoring for many reasons. Why have only one scoring method ?

One more nice thing : all engines display both scoring types. I'm no expert, but I believe that we wouldn't have to touch any engines if we're introducing raw scoring along combo scoring.

Just wanna say something that ive figured out.
Idk if its the tier point system or not tp related at all, but its saying i havent passed songs when i HAVE, more than once?
For example, for ultraplayers, a quick death...

And when i go to levelranks, it says i havent passed them either. I play and pass AQD all the time.

The score in your levelranks is (obviously) your best score with combo scoring. Since you quit out early in your best playthrough, you would have to pass AND beat the current score in your levelranks. I had the same issue awhile back with Strawberry Sweetz.
