Re: 10th Official Tournament - Round 5 Songs
I prefer the heavy chart I made for it much more which is waiting to be judged (hoping it gets through). I made this version specifically for D1 this round, so I did do some things differently than I would have had I not been shooting for a specific difficulty.

Haven't been able top legitimately play through tabi shirabe, but hopefully i can get a good enough score on it to make it to the final 8

Re: 10th Official Tournament - Round 5 Songs
Disclaimer: don't hate on my opinion.
I hate Cold Heart. The patterns are horseshit. The music is the only good part about the song. Sticking a jack where it shouldn't belong on a few occasions throughout the song is just absurd.

Re: 10th Official Tournament - Round 5 Songs
I was under the impression he was sort of referring to both. Certainly I would be.
Like, it's music bros, relax We have Devil's Music Box in this game, surely both trap and flashcore songs are also acceptable.

no but seriously; the reason why I made the post is because I don't go out of my way to say "how can you honestly think that (etc) is a good enough song to warrant a chart" -- I don't enjoy Atomhead songs personally and think they really go on the border of noise, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy Robotomy/Vortex chartwise. They're just... not my kind of song and I'd never think to chart them. |

Re: 10th Official Tournament - Round 5 Songs
Please, you can't deny the massive backlash to the song when it was added to the game.
I'm pointing out that it is still in the game, thus to me it's setting the standard for how much people can complain about more objective aspects of the song (like how well-mastered it is or the quality of the instrumental samples) and have it remain in the game. With that as a metric, it's pretty obvious that both Djentrap and Vortex are worth keeping as well. Shoulda been clearer about this comparison so it didn't come off as rudely. (though I'm sure you can guess what I think about Music Box subjectively speaking)

Either I got extremely better, or tabi shirabe isn't a 46. It plays more like a 40 to me.

There's tons of music in game that I will say to myself why was this stepped? But I'm not going to say that song shouldn't be there because there is someone who enjoys it enough that they stepped it. Which means there's likely others who enjoy it as well. |

Re: 10th Official Tournament - Round 5 Songs
D1 and D2 song were kind of boring to me, but it's mostly the choice of song, not the steps.
D3 was enjoyable, but honestly, not much could go wrong there, because the song just screams for the triplet 24th notes. D4 was a straightforward js file, well-stepped. Felt very comfortable, sightread AAA'd. D5, holy virgin Mary, Accelerator is HARD. It's long, it's fast, it has tricky patterns and transitions and is rhythmically challenging as well with all those syncopated drum beats. The tie-breaker song, on the other hand, wasn't nearly as hard. Lots of fun and some tricky jacks, but seriously, it barely deserves to be rated alongside Powerpoints, while Accelerator is an 82 or even 83. D6: choof, so obnoxious bursts and rolls, no surprise D7: Well-stepped and enjoyable to play. All patterns made sense to me.

Re: 10th Official Tournament - Round 5 Songs
Rip, no way in hell accelerator is a 79, definitely at least an 82. Maybe an 83. That ending is serious troll bait. and the rest of the file isnt exactly a cakewalk either. lol
Edit: Yeah im blocked after the first play, on shit i aaad XD GG

Re: 10th Official Tournament - Round 5 Songs
D3 - Pretty solid and fun.
D4 - Jumpstream, don't like song. D5 - It's trying to be annoying like Xanthystrauma, but it just isn't fast enough to be as annoying as Xanthystrauma. D6 - It's ok I guess, nothing annoying. D7 - Idk what Dossar's version would of been but I assume I would of cringed, I didn't cringe on this version.
