Back when FFR was a young community, FFR became home to a handful of notable hackers and trolls. Some, such as BLAZZE, became notorious for simply taking ban-evasion to an art form; I wouldn't be surprised to learn that BLAZZE's IP accounted for over 1% of FFR's 1.9 million accounts.

But among the hackers, the most notorious of them all was boogiebear.

At one point, right around when I started in 2005, every scoreboard in the game (all 150 or so of them) had the #1 score as boogiebear or one of the numerous boogiebear alts, usually holding the record with more points than it was possible to actually get in the song if you AAAed. Back then botting programs were next to impossible to detect, the game was flawed in many ways (for example, on certain files you could hit "ghost arrows" in the black space before the song started, adding to your score for free) and the scoreboards were simply much easier to hack.
Various admins attempted to remove boogie's scores, but the hacked scores came back faster than anyone could be bothered to remove them.
This was until Shashakiro was appointed to be an admin. Like the Dossar of today, he took the sanctity of scoreboard records really seriously and he began an epic campaign to cleanse boogiebear's scores and ban every single alt. Soon after, Boogiebear was revealed to be female (omg grill), and from then on people kept making Shash x boogiebear shipping jokes.
Whether boogiebear was actually female or just "female" remains a mystery, but her legacy as FFR's pr0est h4x0r lives on forever.
