A hockey card. To be absolutely specific, a Chris Higgins Finite Black Prizm from 13/14 Prizm serial numbered 1/1.
Cost around $65 because I got in a bidding war.

I've also bought a box for $220. Shame I got crap pulls from it.

anything for collection sake. puyo series are pretty much my favorite of all time

also spent 200$ on my current qpad keyboard from sweden, same as Stian's. to me it's more of a practical piece of equipment rather than a hobby
Not to mention a beatmania control you bought for 180

I collect limited edition video games as well as more rare games. The most I've ever paid for a single game was Valkyrie Profile PSX version for $175, back when that was the average price for the game was. In terms of games, I've probably spent well over $2k on just games and limited edition stuff. My biggest purchase, though, will be getting a Hatsune Miku PS Vita, which are still around at LEAST $600 for a used one, over $1200 for a new one, thus far. That's just the kind of things I love to do. I know there are people that shake their heads at that kind of thing but I can guarantee you, it's a much cheaper habit than cigarettes, alcohol, and other more nefarious habits out there.

Wait...you paid $180 for a controller Kommi? o.O Is it an ASC? A JKOC? AKOC? I bought my JKOC for $90, and that was WITH Beatmania IIDX 9. AND it's modified for easier button pressing. lol Though I still wish to have an ASC...

Spent 2500 on a custom left handed Carvin a couple years back. Recently spent 900 dollars on a .45 caliber colt 1911 auto pistol, all chrome with fake ivory handlegrips. Paid like a total of 3 stacks for my amplifier set up for my guitar, as well. And as an overall total for a hobby, it's probably my vinyl collection that's carrying the weight for most expensive. So much vinyl, so little time, so many samples.

I bought a Go board and stones for around $200, haven't really used it because there is no club around where I am.
Over probably 5 years I have spent $300-400 on Origami supplies.

I spent about a good $1,400 on my PC. But the most would be my drum set. I've invested about $2,000+ into it.. Planning on getting a new set too.

I bought a pair of cleats for $150 a few weeks ago. I hadn't bought cleats in ~4 years since the university provided us with a bunch.

But seriously you guys spend a ton of money you should probably get that checked out.

I picked up a ColecoVision modded with A/V output, a pause mod, and modified knob controllers for $200. I'm a big retro game fan.
