Isshuukan Friends.
Because Izzy said so Quote:
So far, I think the pacing is nice and the characters are quite likeable—though it worries me that they're animating this when the manga is still publishing. Still hoping the series will keep going strong until the very end. Anyone else keeping up with this? Feel free to share your thoughts.

Re: [Airing] Isshuukan Friends.
I get the feeling this would start to depress me. I might start watching it though because this genre is one of my favorites. Not really sure how to describe the genre though. Something more specific than SoL. Good SoL? Something with a good story and character development through an emotional drama.

So far I'd put this show on my top 3 for this season, I hope things continue at a good pace and the quality stays up.

The art somewhat recalls me of Usagi Drop, which is a really good thing. And SoL is pretty much the only thing I have been watching recently, I will eventually get to watch this series.

Only because it implies it isn't something else like an action or horror show.

Re: [Airing] Isshuukan Friends.
Bump for sweet, sweet, turning point (ep. 9). For those of you who are still keeping up with this weekly, I do want to hear what you all think about it so far.
I personally thought that the heartwarmingness was stronger in the first few episodes of the series. (Not just in terms of presentation, but also in terms of the events and dialogues themselves. Really, I got teary-eyed reading the first couple of chapters of the manga, which is what the first couple of episodes covered.) Without this slight downhill trend, I would've found this week's episode even more impacting (though I admit, being ahead on the manga played a much larger role in my level of involvement). That said, I feel the series has still been maintaining its solid execution. Shougo's been portrayed especially well, with his seeming coldness and inner kindness. It's going to be interesting to see how the remaining episodes play out, though at this point I suspect they will end on a somewhat iffy note to really get into the main plot in some sort of sequel or second season. PS Kaori is still sweet as ever.
