Soul Eater basically just feels like Fairy Tail. Lots of characters, a couple of short stories, and then a really long siege.

It's pretty fun to have playing in the background. Don't have to watch it to follow it and listen in.

also Soul Eater was crap. So if Fairy Tail is like it then I'll make sure to avoid it like I've been doing this whole time.

Different tastes. I don't have to only watch THE BEST OF THE BEST to enjoy what I watch. That'd be like restricting the movies you watch to only Academy award nominated films

Plus nobody else was posting and I wanted to say stuff about what I did watch.

Also Fairy Tail is fun as hell to casually watch. A little hard to marathon, but an hour or two a day? Way fun!

Soul eater had potential. It started out entertaining.

Eh, don't be so harsh on Soul Eater. It did have its weak points, mainly the plot and whatever the hell that ending was supposed to be. I do wish it turned out better, but the characters were done quite well and the art was pretty - which as far as I can tell is typical for Bones. I'd at least call it enjoyable.

It seems like a very casual story, rather than in depth and trying to build to a massive climax. Much like any casual TV show you see on regular TV.

So basically it had potential and didn't deliver on it, instead choosing to stick to a generic/casual storyline. Even so, any other ending would've been better than... that. Meh, regardless, it's worth watching for the characters.

Unrelated question, since I haz no Netflix. I'm seeing the majority of the shows mentioned here are funimation dubs, do they just have their entire library? Is it all available in 1080p? Are subs + original audio an option?

eh. The way I watch anime leaves me no room to feel like fucking around watching stuff I know I wont like. Lately I haven't been able to find very many, as most are disappointments.

Yeah. I liked the concept and the characters. It's just the way they interacted with each other bothered me. I feel like they kinda took from how cool it could've been by making it goofier. But that ending...jesus

okay I'll admit I did enjoy it a little bit.

edit: yeah you can watch it subbed with original audio on Netflix. And come to think of it, it really is a majority of Funimation. Neat.

It's almost entirely Funimation, because they have a contract with Netflix. I don't complain because they pick pretty good shows to dub.

They also allow subs if you feel like being a boner.

Try expanding a little bit pseudo, you'll find out that shows that might not be considered masterpieces can turn out to be favorites for you.

Started Fairy Tail season two. The mix of story, action, and goofy makes me quite happy. Not on Netflix, but season one is

Also, Fairy Tail is one of the most original shows I've ever seen, given how out there they are in every element. Max wacky characters, max over-the-top plot elements, max comedic relief, max development, max crazy twists.

It's all over the place, and I love it for that reason

Just watch the first half of season one. It's ridiculously fun, and Korny will back me up on this.

This is pretty much what's holding me back from watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes and Saint Seiya.

Eden of the East was 9/10 for first episode but slowly went down to 7/10. Probably going to hate the end of it like everyone tells me I will, still have to watch movie #2. Probably going to 6/10 it if I get mad at how badly the ending is supposedly written (well they fucked up the middle of the TV series so I dunno if it could be worse than that.)

@Guido LoGH is worth watching...probably.
