This comment ticked me off so badly, it makes me wonder why you're a judge lol. It's called layering, something you should know if you're a judge. You know? Stepping one note to one sound, and another note to another sound. The basics of stepping? That's how it results in 1 note for the bass kick on occassion..

I went and looked again just to be sure I remembered, and I guess it's more of an opinionated statement. I understand that it's layering, it's not how I personally would have chosen to layer it. If I'm stepping the bass as jumps, then I continue them as jumps. If I'm stepping them as single notes, I continue them as single notes. I guess it's a matter of consistency, and that's what I was taught a while ago.

I still gave you a 7 anyway, it's not like it's that big of a deal. Honestly, the nasty comment wasn't necessary, and a PM would have sufficed.

Regardless of the 7 you gave me, the critique was unjust and showed a big lack of experience in my eyes. It was your main point of criticism in your review after all. Sorry if it offended you, but you'll live huehue

Either way, there was no need for rude comments. And again, a PM would have been fine. Also, there is no "main point" in my critique. It was just the first one because it came first in the song. The awkward patterns came later in the song, so it was written second. Get over yourself.

So I get a 6,6,7 and the 2 from Kommi and he knows what he's talking about? LOL

Not to mention it was AlexDest, TC_Halogen AND JX .... SO apparently they have no idea what they're doing and were completely stupid in giving good ratings because why? rofl

saying its a matter of consistency is stupid. im not sure what your definition of consistency is when in reference to stepping but my definition is file structure and execution remains similar throughout the entire file

just because spitfire doesnt step using the same techniques you were taught does not make his file inconsistent.

Then please elaborate how your statement that he know's what he's doing is even rational in this situation? Especially when compared to the other 3 judges I mentioned?

Different opinions are valid, as long as they're argumented properly.

I agree with you 100%, I really do, but take a look at this:

Kommisar:
NRG (2/10)
-Basically just a very repetitive jumpstream that cuts off abruptly.

TC_Halogen:
NRG (krunkykai22)
Rating: 6/10 [+.]

- incredibly generic song
- pitch relevancy is alright but certainly could use reworking in the second half when both the melody and lower chords change
- layering is acceptable
- despite the short length, file drags quite a bit, as it's just one big 16th stream for a minute

NRG (krunkykai22) - [+.] 6/10
- Ehhhh, the song choice is lackluster and it's repetitive. Your pitch relevancy is inconsistent so, I'm only going to point out a couple errors.
- s3.47 should be an up arrow and s3.70 should be a right arrow. This error continues.
- s14.78, should be the same jump from before (a [23]). This kind of pattern continues through-out.
- The file should end with a 16th note. I'd suggest going over your pitch relevancy more discreetly.

NRG (krunkykai22) 7/10
Not very good termination of the song (need better edition), and not very variable in the structure due to the song, but overall good PR/pattern choice and replayable short file.

looking at those notes, tell me in what way his notes were argumented correctly? At least the other 3 gave proper mistakes to fix. How can I fix anything based upon what Kommi said?
