Custom engines mean custom content, which is otherwise unplayable songs which are not directly affiliated with FFR. Essentially to add an engine, you would click on the "add engine" button, and paste in the url for an alternate engine's R3.xml file. this is how i set up engines on Air and it seems to still work when i tried
