I think as long as someone doesn't do it again after a warning, they shouldn't be banned. I mean, we've all cheated in a game at some point. A warning, in most cases, just stops it altogether because of fear. I know that if in WoW you got a warning for buying gold instead of instant termination of account, a lot less people would be getting banned.
Just a small, unnecessary rant. This community seems to take cheaters a lot more seriously than any other game (excluding XBL). No offense, of course. n.n
Edit - Just to clarify, this rant wasn't directed at the current situation going on. It's just a generalization of what I have seen/read.
