But at the same time, I can't help but wonder if a person positioning themselves to serve a greater good would still let themselves have exclusive commitment to a single individual. It's like, I'm irrelevant in a bigger picture, but the bigger picture is a motivating relevance to me. I would want a girlfriend, but I don't think I'm ready until I can learn to respect her without disrespecting myself to provide that. So until then, I can only learn to care for myself first
