Default ODIPack3 submissions (Release when graphics are done)

Release as soon as all graphics are done, you can keep submitting

This is the thread for the official ODIPack3! I've crawled out from under a rock, and now it's time to make simfiles!

This pack will be similar to the previous two packs, those of you who were around on omgdidinsane.com when they were made will recognize a lot of this. I will run this pack, Kommisar has offered to help and I will put together a few people to make graphics when it's needed.

There is no goal for how many files the pack will contain, how many high-quality files are submitted will determine this. Submissions will at latest be closed in June, but this will also be determined later on, depending on the files submitted.

Rules:
This is a keyboard pack.

Both unreleased files and released files can be accepted. But I won't accept any modifications to released files, so if you want your file in this pack it would not be a good idea to release it before it has been judged here.

A file can have as many stepcharts as you like.

If your file is accepted and you don't have graphics they will be made for you.

Submissions:
Send them to me, dascookieman@hotmail.com

All submissions will be published and judged openly in this thread.

If you submit a bad file without potential, I will simply reject it without much feedback.
If you submit a sloppy file that has many obvious errors, I will very briefly point out what's wrong, and reject the file.
If you submit a good file I will very thoroughly go through the file and give all types of criticism I can to potentially improve it more, and when it is as good as it gets, it will be accepted.

Basically, it's going to work just like ODIPack2.

General guidelines:
All types of files ranging from easy quads to hard passes can be accepted. But generally you should aim to make a pretty hard simfile since that seems to be what is mostly played within the community and on SMO nowadays.

Take your time and find a good song for this. Don't focus on getting as many files as possible in the pack while you have the chance because the judging will be very strict. If we all focus on making a few really great ones instead we can put together an awesome pack here

Cut your songs. It's not hard, I've always used Goldwave which is a free program (http://www.goldwave.com/release.php) to cut my songs to what I think is optimal for stepmania. Not only cutting out the beginning and end can be done but cutting together different parts of the song is usually not that hard and I have done this with many of my previous simfiles.

In the FFR packs lots and lots of mines are used. This is done very well and is a lot of fun, but generally I would like them to be used a bit less for this pack. It's more consistent with the previous ODIPacks and it still seems that most people prefer playing a file that becomes hard mainly by requiring a lot of arrows to be hit, and not a lot of mines to be avoided.

A few things to keep in mind:
Be precise with your steps and patterns following the music, but don't forget to be creative.
Making a file good for scoring on is important and is what adds most to a file's replay value. This can of course still mean that it can be a hard AAA, a tricky file to MA or a hard AA or even a hard pass. But avoid certain things, like making an easy song with one hard part that always breaks your score in half.

Kommisar have sent me the Xoon6 submissions and postponed that pack for a while. I am of course greatly thankful for this!

Submissions are open, I can't wait to play all of your simfiles, let's get to work
