Who wouldn't want to play another style? That allows you to expand your borders and enjoy the game in other ways that can't be achieved with a single style of play.
And yeah, the thought got deleted, but here's what she said in a summarized form: she got in a car accident a couple years ago which messed up her left hand. She played spread at the time but had to switch to one hand, and now that it's healed, she wants to continue playing what was her original style.
