(Which means, to be clearest, that there is actually some kind and number of mathematical operations being carried out on [something] that at some point spits out an actual value from 0 to 14 which gets added to the base x1 for all attacks to give you the up to x15 multiplier, as opposed to basically consulting some chart of ranges mapping onto multipliers)
