Dump Batch
"Dump" is a term broadly used to describe freeform chart styles that are not strictly bound to directly syncing steps to a song's notes. Dumps often use exaggerated pattern or rhythm choices to create a complex, gameplay-oriented interpretation of a song, often focusing more on how a pattern
feels to play rather than the individual notes and technical details present in a song.
Dumps are notable for being a way for stepartists to create a chart with more creative leeway. Viable song choices are greatly increased with a dump approach, as strict rhythmic accuracy isn't entirely necessary. Dumps are also notable for their relative lack of presence in FFR. We're long overdue for a Dump Batch.
File Requirements:
-FFR's
basic submission rules and
standard permission requirements still apply.
-Musical relevance for dump patterns/rhythm choices is expected, as is a reasonable and musically relevant difficulty curve -- dumping is a style of charting,
not an excuse to make poor files!
-The chart should have a good level of pattern/rhythm consistency.
The Dump Batch will be open for 3 months, until
August 31.
